Oh dear! Said Allan, wondering if he had been at those magic mushrooms again.......

Amongst the strobing, kaleidoscopic lights came visions of darkest Peru, and of steam trains and people milling about in a great, noisy hall, quite unlike the first part of some journey hiding in a lifeboat.

Allan definitely had an attack of the 'munchies' and wondered if his OH had such a thing as a jar of marmalade in that infamous bag of hers.

Sure enough, tucked in the folds of the bottom of the bag, there was a jar of brightly coloured orange marmalade. Allan just knew that his OH wouldn't let him down in his desire for a little normality to start his day....... Heaven knows, he needed something familiar on which to anchor all these strange happenings.

Now what about bread? Even OH would have to admit that any loaf lurking in her bag would be way past it's best-before date.
But wait a minute, was that grains of wheat he could see in the depths of a corner.?

Ever resourceful, Allan found 2 large stones and set to work.

After some sweat and tears, Allan finally managed to lift the heavy stones out of the bag...I need a cup of tea before I get to these grains of wheat he thought...where's Mrs Bird when you need her.....

Mrs Bird was quite possibly ensconced in some exotic pantry with Mr Curry. Despite his arrogance, Mrs Bird had always considered him as a bit of a hotty

I suppose that it takes all kinds......

Allan was getting worried as his OH was going on about self isolating. What would he do if she took her capacious bag with her.
The contents of the bag had come to his rescue many times and without it...........

His wife worried needlessly. It would be a very brave virus that tried to attack her, besides, apart from a stint in a submarine that had taken place more than fourteen days ago, she had had very little contact with humans.

Her OH was not included in that species!

They were busy trying to work out where to buy supplies and enough to stockpile just in case, the whole stone-milled flour thing not really coming to anything...

Allan decide to ditch the wine and stockpile some beer.

He'd heard that there were several cases of Corona near to where they were staying

The trouble is Allan being a person who couldn't waste anything decided the best way to ditch the wine was to drink it.....time he somehow got to a store to buy beer his order was a bit slurred and he ended up buying......

It seems that this thread has now gone into self-isolation.

It would appear to have an unending supply of alcohol and magic mushrooms, so the time should pass in a flash..or a series of flashes or a kaleidoscopic collision of multi coloured flashes, or was that a purple people eater that I just saw?

I hope that there are sufficient munchies secreted about the posts :-S

Allan started to panic when he heard there was a shortage of...........
