Allan, having been distracted by round shiny things ( not the round shiny things his OH prefers ) is Allan planning on having Christmas here or will he continue trying to get home for Christmas?

What Christmas somewhere else with Hogmanay on the horizon are you crazy :-) :-)

Allan decided to try and use his two cents to improve his situation....which makes no sense but who are we to judge...so he decided to buy a bauble to cheer himself up....but where would one be so cheaply???

If only Allan could get the internet going then he,d be able to ask if he could have some that aren’t,t being used this year ;-)

Caroline

Caroline Report 15 Dec 2019 19:14

But who to ask as we've been informed no one cares about us here in Genesland.....

Allan

Allan Report 15 Dec 2019 20:57

Poor Genesland inhabitants, being censured for merely following Oliver Cromwell's stricture to 'Remove this bauble'

Being as tight as a duck's backside, Allan wasn't going to 'spend' Christmas anywhere. It would take a serious surgical procedure to remove any money from his person.

In fact Allan was going to hibernate exactly where he was, even though he no longer knew exactly where he was :-S

That said Allan wrapped himself in his kilt which was almost as massive as his OH copious bag...a bag so copious and yet no baubles in it.

Allans OH was thrilled to find she had a little pick in the bottom of her capacious bag. So off she went looking for her Christmas baubles - diamonds, emeralds, rubies - she wasn’t fussy.

Allan

Allan Report 16 Dec 2019 13:32

Neither was Allan, who'd just washed his kilt and couldn't do a fling with it

Yes folks, the old ones are still good, and Allan has shown his true age despite his Peter Pan mind :-D :-D

Caroline

Caroline Report 16 Dec 2019 14:46

:-D :-D :-D

But what is a kilt without a sporran....Allan needed to find one asap.....

nameslessone

nameslessone Report 16 Dec 2019 18:45

.. of course a sporran is a little bag to keep some essentials in...... who doe Allan know that has a bag........

Allan

Allan Report 16 Dec 2019 20:27

Remembering the MacGyver in him, Allan decided that the rabbits that he wore on his head (because from a distance they looked like hares) would make an adequate substitute for a sporran if moved to a more strategic position.

He just wasn't sure about the carrot.

Allan had better get himself properly attired or he wouldn't be ready with his Highland Fling to welcome in the new year.

Allan

Allan Report 23 Dec 2019 09:52

All he needed to do now was to find his wife with her copious bag which housed his top hat and tails.

Now, with New Year fast approaching would it be a kangaroo tail?

Life was tough down under

Caroline

But Allan could cope as he's a real man...well that's what it said on his aftershave bottle anyway...if only he could not cry whenever he splashed it on...but it did sting .... :-(

Allan

Allan Report 23 Dec 2019 20:43

He might even try it on his face one day :-0 :-D :-D

Allan turned the other cheek. He had no choice, it was particularly windy, and there was a lot of material in that kilt. Aye, Allan always wore his kilt in the Scottish way.

OH was fishing in the bottom of her copious bag, and by the sounds of the rattling and clanking, there could be the vision of Marley coming to help them out.....

Allan

Allan Report 24 Dec 2019 11:25

Chains!

Allan's OH had heard about chain mail and may have misinterpreted the expression as she found her lap-top and prepared to send out a series of intimidating emails.

Meanwhile, Allan was running through a field of very tall thistles, occasionally leaping in the air shouting, 'Och aye' and 'Hoots, Mon' and wondering where the Hogmanay ointment was.

*A very Merry Christmas to all the readers and contributors*

Suddenly Allan realized he hadn't sent his Christmas cards due to his travels....where was an Elephants bum when you needed it....(reference Sharon thread)

He'd shouted out his Christmas wishes to the winds...and were hie ears deceiving him...what did he hear...... "And a Merry Christmas to you Allan and family and to all on this thread"
