If it's 100 posts wanted , so be it .
I don't think Sue intended that ....and achieved her debate over the grumpy Dr a while back.

I think it has run it's course.

Hayley. If it is one you sent at 1615 last night, certainly didn't offend me. I really don't mind being teased if I deserve it. Not too much anyway ;-)

Doesn't matter if thread has died a natural death, I suppose. They almost all do. But I think it got to 974!!! Incredible really on a thread about a man of 83 possibly being a bit rude.

If we list all men and women of 83 whop are a bit rude one at a time, I think we would hit 1,000 by Eastenders :-D :-D Wish Suzannne would put her red frilles back on.

Back on this thread, I mean :-D ;-)

A nomad, a VW, a (cough) problematic dog, plus black bloomers and a grumpy crutch .... now there's the making of a good Wales-based Saga !!!

Pity we didn't hit the big 'K', but there you go....

JustJohn Report 11 Jan 2013 22:17

Suzanne :-D :-D 6 for a quid? You rub shoulders with royalty - hope you don't drag them down. As my gran would have said: "You can take the girl out of Speke, but you can't take Speke out of the girl"

Just seen this from Dermot on Savile thread "It is not only what we do, but also what we do not do, for which we are accountable". (Molière).

Don't know who Moliere plays for, but I think that is a load of sphericals. I am not accountable for winning the FA Cup. I don't think I am accountable for USA's fiscal cliff. That Moliere wants to concentrate on practising kicking penalties. :-D ;-)

What a truly insulting post John - that is the LOWEST OF THE LOW! :-P

JustJohn

JustJohn Report 11 Jan 2013 22:59

I thought it was quite well thought out and witty, Wend and SueMaid.

But we all have our different opinions. And many thanks for yours. Who was I insulting anywa?. Only Moliere, surely. :-)

Suzanne Report 11 Jan 2013 23:04

spekes a sh*t hole. when did you last go there? :-D

JustJohn

JustJohn Report 11 Jan 2013 23:11

Hmmm. Speke? About 1978. Wasn't great then. Tesco used to have loads of littel shops which you might just remember. Thye bought out John Irwin about 1964.

Strange thing was that John Irwin were quite posh till Tesco pulled all the fixtures and staff out of them. And my mum and gran used to speak fondly of the Irwins in Llandudno and Colwyn Bay. Yet Marks & Spencers were still thought of as a bit bargain basement in those war and pre-war years. :-)

:-( I live in Liverpool and as in all places there are some area's that are not desirable, although Speke and Toxteth have their " not very nice " parts there are some parts of both area's that are nice.
I remember once some years ago being in a club in Liverpool town centre and dancing with a guy who asked me what part of Liverpool I was from, when I told him the Huyton area his reply was ( do I slit my throat now or later ) I wasn't amused to say the least, again there are rough parts of Huyton but again there are some very nice parts.
I am not having a go at anyone just showing an example of how no matter were you go or were you are from there is always good and bad area's and people, unfortunately if you go somewhere you don't know and you have a bad encounter with people of the area you tend to tar all people from that area with the same brush :-(
Rebekah please don't think that all the people in Wales are like the one's you met, I'm sorry that your first encounter of the area was such a bad one. I'm Welsh born and have roots on my Birth Mother's side in Wales and it has been my wish for a long time to return and live in the town of my Birth place and I hope to very soon.
Sorry this has nothing to do with topic of the thread but it has to do with some of the comments posted
