A woodturning contact of OH has just posted that a fire that begun in his neighbours house has taken his house withit and his business.

No one has been hurt but he has lost everything.

How heartbreaking for him.

LK...that is just awful - that poor man and his family. Dreadful thing to happen.

Evening Sylvs! That brunch was scrumptious, but everytime I look at it and see that it will be served in the conservatory, I want to say "Along with Colonel Mustard and a piece of rope". :-D

Fans is quiet.......must be having fun. Or having a lie down.

Good morning evryone, hope that you had a lovely weekend.

We had a busy one, baked biscuits and things all day Saturday, and then went to a Greek restaurant for dinner Saturday night. Daughter was very suitably impressed with the zorba dancing to the point where I couldn't find her, only to discover her in the middle of the circle clapping her hands and turning as the circle turned!

Sunday ffound us at another one of her friends birthday parties in an indoor play centre. Luckily she was so tired when we got home she slept for fout hours....and then wouldn't go back to sleep! So I was trying to watch Midsomer Murders and concentrate with a little voice every two seconds (or so it felt!) mummy what are you doing. What's that man doing etc etc etc!!!

Phew feel like I have come into work for a break! LK sorry about your friend's news, hope at least eh had some insurance.

I take it the properties are close together LK, that must have been some fire.... all that good wood gone... I am sure he would be well insured Gracie...

I think that is so sweet that your daughter was in there doing her dancing.. they are so cute when they get up to that sort of mischief... all good fun. Betcha the adult dancers loved it.

I remember going to dance Socials with various clubs, works etc and we would always do a Zorba the Greek number... great one to get everyone going.

Persie ... my lawn could do with a cut.

Dea Report 8 Aug 2011 06:48

How awful for your friend LK!

I am sure he was adequately insured for his property and possessions - those can be replaced, but it is all the 'personal stuff' - letters, photo's, personal little gifts etc - all those cherished memories which can never be replaced................

They must be devastated !

So glad that no-one was hurt though.

Dea,

That reminded me of a game called Pacman (I think that was its name) and the little things would gobble there way along the screen before you could do something...

I am still full from my lunch which in included a chocolat au pain... and I fell asleep in the chair whilst doing some tree work.... didn't do much...
