Another quiet Saturday night on here. I've just been mooching around here and there - and achieved notalot!

With pleasure Sylvia - I had it planned anyway as I thought you might need another day off!

Breakfast:

Tea, coffee, juices.

Selection of cold cereals

Cold platters of various hams and cheeses.
Freshly baked hot bread rolls, croissants and danish pastries
Gluten-free rolls + crackers.
Fresh fuits, yoghurts.

Toast, crumpets, bagels, served with dairy butter, various jams, jellies, and marmite.

In the warmers:
Crispy bacon, sausages, grilled tomatoes and mushrooms, black pudding, poached eggs, kedgeree

Almond tart, Lemon + walnut muffins, Iced carrot cake.

Lunch will be served at 1.00pm:

Home made Chicken liver pate with Garlic, black pepper + red wine.
Green salad with a light balsamic vinegar + olive oil dressing
Baked Mushroom, drizzled with olive oil, filled with a light goat's cheese topping.
Melange of grilled vegetables - peppers, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms
Cheesy Garlic bread

Main course:

Roast Saddle of Lamb
Roast potatoes, Herby mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts, broccoli, glazed carrots, fresh peas, runner beans
Mint sauce, Gravy

For Ginns - Mushroom and Nutmeg Ravioli with a Lemon Dill Sauce


Dessert:
Lemon Meringue pie (for Sylvia), but you can all share !
Dutch Apple tart with custard
Lemon yoghurt mousse
Fresh strawberries + raspberries with strawberry ice-cream or fresh cream
Double chocolate chip sponge pudding with fresh cream

Platter of assorted cheeses dressed with fresh grapes

Spanish Cava (from la Rioja Region), Fresh fruit juices

Well Lincoln archives were very helpful but I did not find anything.

John Frisby saying each census He was born in Toft Lincs

I have however found his baptism in Melton Mowbray.

I think his father is William c1756 but I do not know his mother's name.I cannot find other Frisby events in Toft but wondered if she may have been from there so visiting family when he was born. The marriage records were not avalable.

Mornin all......

Sat here in south pacific conditions, the enchanting squawk of sea gulls and passing HGVs......

Ive got to pass on lunch Dea as we are out in about an hour but yours did sound yum

I hope to be back in normal conditions by about 6pm....I can then put all my clothes back on and listen to the birds tweet their way to bed

When I saw where R had informed Renes which page she posted on to let us all know about Paul..

Reminded me to go back and look for page 1305... don't know whether any of you went back and I missed it... but the page is there and the first post was by FbyG.... the problem was her gaslight was on but no one was there. The post had no wording so caused a hernia in the system.

Scrapbooking is a good idea LK.... I would just procrastinate and not get on with it. Though I don't do that with my ancestry that just keeps on going and going and going like a duracell battery.

I have been waxed and will take a dip in the pool soon.

Another relax in the jacuzzi I think then the sauna.

My day was made this morning when I was holding a 3 week old baby for absolutely ages. Awwwwww.....so sweet. And they I handed him back!

Don't tip in that bottle of Hotel bubble bath LK and then close your eyes for a few moments as I once did in my Jacuzzi bath !! - When you open them, the bubbles are about 4 feet high :-D

Children and grandchildren have gone to Mallorca for their very first family holliday!

I am missing them already and SO hoping that they have a lovely time !!

It will be hard work for them if they are not to lose my little grandson - I hope they have taken his 'lead' !!!
