Good morning all, lovely sunny day here today. Cool but nice...

Little fluffy monster ...we have to keep an eye on her or we we can pop her in to have operations on both of her kneecaps at a cost of $3000.00 each...which I suppose is about 4,800 or so pounds! I think we will just keep an eye on her and just try to keep her quiet at this stage..

Mornin.......why do my neighbours have to have chickens for gords sake, they are so noisey in a morning

I bet they get about two eggs a week!

Grace, hope your little dog gets better soon, the vets fees are expensive but I guess its worth it for a family member

Well, it's a lovely sunny morning here today so breakfast is cooking on the outside griddle in the garden.

Bacon, sausages, tiny burgers, omelettes (fillings of your choice)
Mushrooms, tomatoes, onions.

Freshly made crumpets,
Crispy hot rolls (and gluten free)

The usual cereals etc are set out on the side table, along with:
Fresh fruits, selection of yoghurts,
Danish pastries + croissants.

Tea, coffee and juices.

Feel free to bring out anything else you 'fancy' from my kitchen.

Welcome back to Sylvia, sometime later today ........

Oh that's lovely Dea. I love the smell of bacon frying outside. So I will have a lovely bacon and tomato toasted sandwich I think. Mmmmmm gorgeous. Thanks so much.

Fans.....wot are you on about...fingerMails......do you need stronger specs?

Gins? You'll love this. I have been on my hands and knees, pulled out the bottom board which runs under my cooker and fitted units and cleaned under there! Honest to goodness, it was disgusting. Amazing how much gunk from spillages etc creeps under - even though the floor is regularly mopped.

Grace....poor little fluffy dog, she must be in some pain. Don't you have insurance for her?

Fink I may need a shower anytime soon..........just waiting to get me strength back after all me exertions............

Ohhh - just had some WONDERFUL news !!!

As you know, we have been having grandchildren quite a lot over the past couple of weeks as it is school holidays.

Was expecting grand-daughter tomorrow about 8.15 (quite a struggle for me to get 'bright and shiny clean and dressed' by that time).!!

Anyway, DIL just phoned to say that she is off work tomorrow and has to take 'cookie' (the hamster) to the vet at 10.00am and grand-daughter wants to go too so could she bring her along after that !!!

OOOhhh - a 'little lie-in' beckons !!! ;-)

They are then going on holiday for a whole week so I just won't know what to do with myself :-D :-D :-D

Yeah quiet....but who said colleges closed for the summer! I am contracted for all the summer...

....grrrr, Im not a fan of college, I like to do things 'professionally' I hate the lack luster of some people....

It pays the mortgage and I do a good job...

I thought being a grandparent was better than being a parent?

Cant say Im looking forward to it!

Dea

Dea Report 28 Jul 2011 20:29

It is truly wonderful Ginns,

However, you have to remember that when you first become a parent, you are usually young, fit and healthy !!

By the time you become a grandparent, you are usually 'getting on a bit' and perhaps not in quite so good health !!

It is lovely when you have them for a few hours and can give them back but come the School holidays when it becomes an 'all day job', several days a week, it becomes quite exhausting!

Worth every minute though !! ;-)

Gee Report 28 Jul 2011 20:32

Still cant say I want any as Id worry ALL over again about them....no thanks

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 28 Jul 2011 20:45

They are highly recommended Gins. As the old saying goes....

If I had known grandchildren were so much fun, I'd have had them first!!

Enjoy your brief respite Dea............. ;-)

We're up early so that OH can go for his annual blood tests. One of them is a fasting one - cholesterol - but he will have to take his Parkinson's pill to get him kick started. We have cleared it with the doc but I hope he doesn't go on 'go slow' whilst we are at the hosp..........sigh.
