Hi Everyone

Anne what a good story.

Your Oh and mine would make a good pair,our main bedroom at the front of the house has three window going around in a half circle so My oh can see around corners.... he does not miss a thing and is always shouting out to me ! come and look at this ! It might only be a car going down the road he has to tell me to come and have a look at what is going on.

We have neighbours up from us who have a domestic every now and then you should see him peaking out of the curtains it is really funny to watch ...I just stay in bed and let him get on with it

I think you are correct it seems to be men that like doing this going on what some of my friends tell me.

We are out for dinner tonight next door so no cooking for me tonight,.

I am still a little stiff from getting wood yesterday,he is talking about getting more on Sunday may have to talk him out of that one .

Frank I love gardening..more so in Summer as out gardens don't have a lot of colour over winter,I still like to Potter in the Winter just to keep the weeds at bay.
I am addicted to Roses thanks to my Mother in Law god bless her,I think I have grown on her ...only been married to her son for nearly 42 yrs mind you.

Cynthia I have not hung my Curtains yet as my OH all of a sudden decided to paint the room again so down they came until we finish it,they looked good for a while anyway.
I hope you have a lovely time with your family.

By the way I have never heard of Goose grease what is it ?.

Check in later .
Still watching the Tour DE France,keeps us up late though.

Have a good weekend everyone
~~~~~~~ & <3 to Evelyn and Reece.
Suex :-) <3
Sue - i think they woudl get on very well
Have a fantastic evening out
Goosegrease - there is a website - it may help
http://www.goosefat.co.uk/page/history
Quite a nice peaefull couple of days at work for a change - will not use the other Q word as I know it will go manic
Looking forward to a couple of days off - even if we can't really relax that much & its a longish drive - looks like its going to tip it down all weekend - i think the weather god has it in for all us workers
Its a lovely day today - sunny - but a little humid - I need a bit of fresh air - so will pop out to the shops for some sweets
Will start my diet & exercise next week :-P :-P :-P to the fitter ones in my office - my mate has just gone to her yoga class for her lunch break - its the 3rd class she has attended this week - always in her lunch hour - far too fit for me
Well off for a wonder around
Will try & pop in tomorrow if I can
Take care all <3 <3 <3 <3
Anne! WHAT WAS THE END OF THE STORY?????
How on earth could you stay in bed with all that rumpus going on?
I don't believe it! You're letting the side down y'know ;-)
The front of our house is on a main road and I am at the window at the slightest screech of brakes etc.etc. :-D
Had a visit from my brother and sister-in-law today which was nice. We rarely see them as they live near Cambridge. Caught up on some news and talked a lot about family genes because my OH and his brother are very similar and there is a striking resemblance to their father.
After a beautiful day, the rain has arrived and more is forecast - wonderful - it's St. Swithin's Day today :-(
Frank, or should I say Percy Thrower, is there no end to your talents?
The only Tbar I know is one were you can get a drink. :-D
Bye for now ~~~~~ Cx
Well that's another wasted morning at the court. :-( :-(
I suppose the good news is that we will not be needed for jury duty again for two years... :-S :-S
That was fifty people being paid at least 4 hours loss of earnings for five days with only one jury being formed and dismissed after only twenty minutes............. that's a minimum of £6,000.........shocking :-0 :-0
Now then, a few words about Goosefat.................
The Goosefat Fairy visits lots of lovely cooks who wish they could make magical, crispy roast potatoes. With one twitch of her wand the Goosefat Fairy magically allows all the clothes in your wardrobe to be reduced in size while unfortunately not bestowing the same magic on the cook's waists. :-D :-D :-P
I've been keeping tabs on the Tour De France as my dad always goes "home" to France for a look as it goes through his own area.
He stays with his sister near Roanne and they all head off to make a day of it. We keep checking in case we see him on TV. ;-)
That was an awful crash the other day in the St Flour stage when a camera car overtook then collided with the lead riders with poor old Johnny Hoogerland being thrown through some barbed wire ............ :-0 :-S :-S
Thankfully the car and driver was banned from continuing with the race.
Cynthia my dear, Google, google, google............. :-P :-P :-P
It's amazing what you can find. :-D
Cynthia
Cynthia Report 15 Jul 2011 20:42
Now Frank, what am I supposed to be googling?
Anne's neighbour?
The Goosefat Fairy?
The diabolical waste of taxpayer's money?
The Tour De France?
St. Swithin's Day?
Johnny Hoogerland?
Percy Thrower?
Don't tell me you have your very own DIY website.....Frank's Pranks?
Okay, I give up!
FRANK06
FRANK06 Report 15 Jul 2011 22:09
Come on Cynthia,
I'm sure you don't need Google to find the Goosefat Fairy............... :-S :-P :-D
Seriously though, I just love Google as there can't be very much that isn't on it and I actually meant gardening tips but St Swithin's Day.......... does that apply in Scotland as it's raining today and tomorrow and Sunday and........ :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S
By ze way, Johnny ees ok........... eeh as been steetched up. :-S ;-) :-D
Cynthia
Cynthia Report 16 Jul 2011 08:46
I love googling too Frank - but I sure ain't googling for gardening tips thank you very much. My garden at the front is the size of a postage stamp and just a patio at the back. I'll cope. :-P
Wet, wet, wet here today.
Thought of you yesterday Frank - the BBC sports news mentioned that Johnny chap - I'd never heard of him before!
Nothing exciting to report - OH was a bit under the weather this morning so we haven't gone to church as we normally do. A long day stretches ahead!
My Mr Grumpy had his first dose of Chemo on Thursday and it went well, so far no sickness but he has had an emormous amount of pills to make sure that he was not sick, he is not eating a great deal but is taking his food supplements so that helps. I am going to see if I can prise him out of his chair later and come for a short walk with me, cant see it happening as Golf is on T V, I can but try.
If one has to have cancer Guernsey is a good place to be, the treatment is excellent, we are so lucky, we have a super hospital and wonderful staff.
Enough of my woe, I hope you are all well, I often think of you all. Has anyone heard from Wayne lately? such a nice man.
My love to you all
Wow Cynthia,
Wet,Wet, Wet and you thought of me............ "With a Little Help from My Friends" :-D :-D :-D
or was it "Love Is All Around" ;-) ;-) :-D
I take it the the gardening, philately joke was too subtle. :-S :-P
Evelyn, Don't you worry about laying your woes out here as we are all here for you and send you and Ron our best wishes.
We had our Scottish grand daughter up for a visit as it was her first birthday but the wee soul is cutting teeth and was not in the best of form. :-S :-S :-S
Why can't we just be born with teeth............appologies to all the breast feeders out there :-S :-P :-D
Pouring down again today with some thunder thrown in and this is our local fair fortnight holiday :-0 :-D
Cynthia
Cynthia Report 17 Jul 2011 15:08
Of course I got the philately joke Frank....my father was a keen stamp collector. I just decided to ignore...as is a woman's perogative!
Hi Evelyn, lovely to hear from you and hope the anti-sickness pills work for your Mr. Grumpy. Funny really, just before I read your note, I had just said to my OH - you've been sitting there long enough....time to get up and move around! Far too wet for him to go walkies but just trotting around the house helps to keep his muscles from seizing up too much. Oh, and yes, he did move!
Can't believe your granddaughter is one already Frank....my, my, time certainly flies. Teeth are a pain from beginning to end to be honest. Hope yours are soaking nicely!
Well well - i leave you lot for a couple of days & look whar happens
Lovely to see you Evelyn - glad mr grumpy is taking his medicine
Goodness only knows what Susan will do when she is back after reading all this.
Frank what happened to make him want to jump out of the window?
Cynthia - i have nothing to report - OH didn't see any of our neighbours all day on Friday - he is peeved - he will try & catch up with one of them during the week - if I find out anything I will repoert back.
Well as you know - I have been feeling a bit out of sorts since Wednesday - by Saturday I thought it was a lot better - wrong - got up Ok Saturday morning - we packed our bag for the weekend & took off for the record office in Canterbury. Had out usual little chef breakfast - OH a lot quieter than normal - I was just very tired. got to Canterbury - around 10am - very dodgy tummy - thought it would go away - it didn't.
Couldn't decide to tell OH or not or cancel weekend - thought he was Ok - so decided to grin & bear it & hope the ride to Essex was uneventful. Well things got a bit worse & all i wanted to do was go to sleep on the sofa - not make conversation. So we had an early dinner - made our excuses & went to the SiL. Lucky enough she was out babysitting - so we both flopped - thats when we both talked to each other - turns out Oh wanted to canx the weekend as well - but thought I would be dissapointed.
Talk about two stupid people - still we decided just to have an early night - Sunday i was no better - all I wanted to do was go home & be in my own little house & mope. OH went to speak to SiL who understood - so we scarpered - once home felt a bit better - & in work today sort of better.
We will have to make it up to the family on the next visit - we (the two of us) should get our act together.
We had loads of rain yesterday - it tipped it down from 2 - lucky enough we were home by 9:20 & we both had a good afternoon snooze - it was only the thunder that woke me up.
Very dull here today - & should have rain again this afternoon - I am leaving at 2:30 (in theory) lunch brak & then a couple of hours lieu time - we need to go shopping.
Well better go back to my worklist & emails - see what happened over the weekend.
Play nicely now children as Auntie is back on the thread :-):-p
Take care all :-D <3
Poor you! What a miserable weekend for you both. Were you just overtired or was it a bug? Glad your communication system sorted itself out......as they used to say on the TV adverts....It's good to talk!
I guess we will have to wait to hear the end of your thrilling neighbour story ;-)
Pouring down here and the window cleaner has just cleaned my windows............sigh. I know he has a job to do but........ :-S
Off to an autism meeting shortly so had better get dressed!
Hi Everyone
We had a lovely weekend away with the family down South ,we have had a few days of sunshine but as of tomorrow rain again .
Evelyn glad to hear your OH is coping Ok with his Chemo,it is more than likely he will be a Grumble Bum for a while ,I think my Sister in Law was very difficult to live with while going through it .
I feel for you both ...do what I do and just smile even if you don't feel like it ...I suspect it will help him too.
Laughter can be great medicine
My sister in Law is doing fine at the moment and her hair is all back to normal with the exception of the length,that will take a while I think.
Time team is about to start so I will have to come back later.
Frank I hope your heighbour is OK,What would have made him jump out of a three story window.
Suex :-)
FRANK06 Report 18 Jul 2011 20:25
Hi all,
Well I'm afraid I don't have any further information on the jumper as yet.
My OH was watching TV in the bedroom when she heard some people shouting and assumed it was just a bunch of high spirited youngsters until she heard a scream.
Came through to look out the window and the police were already there so something odd.
You'll have to wait until the local gossips catch up (of whom my wife is one) ;-) :-P :-S
Had a busy day considering this is the start of the local holidays but I prefer that to sitting about playing Sudoku or waiting for a jury trial to start.
..........and it was dry today. :-P :-D
