Hellooooo to you all. Glad everyone enjoyed their weekend. I expect RMS treated her mum to something special, or will when its Mother's Day across the Atlantic.

So we have another birthday to celebrate? Pauline will have to dust off the Champagne Bottle and YG bake a cake! Maz can bring some of her homemade biscuits and Ginger Curd sandwiches.

Party! Party! And put the fire brigade on standby in case all the cake candles set the Lodge on fire!!!!!

I got washing out on the line as well but I'm surprised it's still there, we've got very strong winds. It's freezing as well.

I poured a glass of Baileys out for YG last night but she must have fallen asleep because she didn't turn up. It didn't go to waste though, I drank it.

Glad to see you all had a nice day with cards and presents.

Who's birthday is it?

RMS said is was hers 'next week'. So we are getting things ready for the celebrations!

Just about to rescue my washing - it's come over very cloudy (unless the windows need a clean lol)

YG

YG Report 15 Mar 2010 17:25

You just didn't have to drink it Pauline!! It would have kept till I got there!

Party poppers are ready and mole stew simmering nicely on the cooker.

Whose doing the omelettes!!

LG, Duffy has perked up quite a lot. He looks a lot brighter and is eating much more than he was. I think he is even filling out a bit again. Obviously the injections did something, but on tenterhooks awaiting the results of the blood tests which I should get tomorrow.

Morning All. Birthday cake - now we have something serious to discuss.

Have you put the Cake Guard over the cake. This is a plastic cover with holes in it so the candles stick through. You are able to blow out the candles without spitting all over the cake. Means you don't get germs on the cake.

I kid you not!! This info was in our newspaper this week. They called it a "slobber" guard or something and you can google it for more facts.

I know how you will all welcome this new initiative to ensure little ones do not pass on their germs to other children at parties. And I will be so pleeeeased not to have to eat cake which has been breathed on by an adult.

Let me see, exactly how many persons have become ill or died of celebration cake candle extinguishing disease.

So while we watch the omelettes flying around the lodge, eat our mole stew and mushroom rissotto, let's not forget the cake guard!!!

And how are we all this morning. A lot better for that little bit of info I'll bet!!

LaGooner Report 15 Mar 2010 19:37

What! Only two threads. I'm thinking about giving up on helping. They all just fade away once I go anywhere near them.

Yes I am at work. Temperature forecast is for 34C today. However it will cool to the mid 20C by the weekend. Can't see the top of my desk for rubbish, whoops sorry, very important documents. Suppose I'd better see how much I can chuck in the bin.
