PussCat re your knickers. Red and black is a good start, not perfect but definitely better than red and white. You are lucky they are not red and white because then you would be required to whip them off and wave them around your head everytime you went past a certain soccer stadium.

Sharing some interesting news. Actually been dancing a jig around the room. Just had contact with OHs cousins. First contact with anyone from his family since his Mum died in 1980. The email has confirmed they are the correct family. They live quite a distance from here but we now have a phone number and an email address so I'm going to be busy filling in the gaps. Whooo hooooo!!

By the way. Have you ever put in a search "Powney" on these boards and checked out the information available. You can find them on History, Trying to Find and a couple of the other boards. First you should know that very few people ever replied to queries about Powney folk. Hmmmmmm!!??!!!

I have the Powneys before Charles, we are a prolific family so you think I would be able to find someone on here wouldn't you? Well I bloomin can't!!!!! The info on Charles is about 2 pages back on this thread posted 9.30 Yesterday. I have even contacted sites in Wiltshire as that is where the most of them come from. Midsomer Norton is just over the border !

We had more snow this morning that settled, but it turned into a lovely sunny day, although chilly. No sign of the snow now. All the bulbs are coming through so can we hope that spring is finally on it's way!!
