I watched Boris and Gove and Hunr and 2 others intervied. All an act.

They couldn't agree as members of the Cabinet under PM Teresa May.

Yet one of them wants to succeed her ? One of them will.

THEN WHAT ?

KathleenBell

KathleenBell Report 20 Jun 2019 17:49

I wonder which two MP's spoilt their ballot papers? Perhaps Teresa May and Rory Stewart do you think?

I don't think any of the last three would be a good PM, and if Boris gets it we could end up a laughing stock like America with Donald Trump.

The EU has been historical for several senior MP'a

Not least Neil Kinnock who an EU Commissioner in Brussels

Wonder why Rudd and Leadsome didn't have go ?

JoyLouise

JoyLouise Report 20 Jun 2019 20:38

It's been hysterical too, David.

Kinnock jnr has been in the news recently ... something not quite kosher, from memory. To me, he's done his dash as far as leadership is concerned .... but I have not forgotten that this is a family who plays together. How he, she and junior jumped on the bandwagon is beyond my comprehension. Jobs for the boys is obviously not restricted to Bullingdon Club members.

David Report 20 Jun 2019 21:01

Kinnock's slogan was vote for me boyos, I'll get you out of Europe

Well he lost the election and the leadership of the Labour party.

So he and Glynis off to Brussels where they each become Commissioners

making EU regulations that effect us. Earns more than the PM !!

Allan

Allan Report 20 Jun 2019 22:17

Keir Hardie, et al, must be spinning in their graves :-(

JoyLouise

JoyLouise Report 20 Jun 2019 23:57

OMG Allan, don't say you're old enough to remember Keir Hardie!

Next you'll be telling us you remember Manny Shinwell! :-D

Allan

Allan Report 21 Jun 2019 00:03

Keir Hardie was a bit before my time, JoyLouise, as was Engels, but I can remember Mannie Shinwell :-D

Well, Trump will be laughing .......

....... he was tweeting that Theresa May should step down and let Boris take over weeks before she did.

He said that Boris was the best person to be PM.

It's going to be a laugh a minute, watching it all from across the pond.

Barbra

Barbra Report 21 Jun 2019 09:46

We should listen to Trump then he is always right ;-) :-D

Trump signed off a US attack on Iran before he knew that the destroyed aircraft was a drone, albeit a very expensive one. Somebody in the chain of command had the wit to get the full facts before starting a war. Trump always right? Very rarely. He has the same problem as Bojo, disregard of the truth.

Bojo will find managing what remains a deeply divided Tory party extremely difficult. He has neither the people management skills nor the ability to work hard that the job requires.

Moreover, as with May, he will have to contend with running a minority government dependent on a greedy and difficult DUP.

There is no majority for his flagship brexit policy to which 10-20 Tory MPs are so opposed that they will block no deal and quite possibkly force a general election. The Tories have not a chance in hell of winning an autumn election.

Bojo should install a zipwire in the Commons for one of the steepest and quickest political descents from high office ever.

In July he is likely to visit the Queen and tell her that he can command a majority in the House. That is a sina que non to become PM.
Lie number 1 ?

David, the EU commissioners don't make the EU laws, that is done by the EU Parliament, which we did participate in electing.

David

David Report 21 Jun 2019 12:05

Sorry about my mistake Kense. I didn't know.

Kinnock has however a lot of authority in his new role as has Glynis

Kense

Kense Report 21 Jun 2019 23:24

I see Boris is in the news again.

RolloTheRed

What's your emergency?

Kense

Kense Report 22 Jun 2019 07:09

It should be obvious now. When I posted it was just becoming news on the BBC site.

It is a bit concerning that neighbours are recording such stuff.
