It's a bit like your 97% of genes members not liking the new tree John :-D

What is it with you and percentages?

MrDaff Report 19 Jan 2013 22:13

John, I'm afraid the Labour party, old or new, is actually 'Left Wing' - basically out and out supporters of Socialism ...... ask Marx, he'll tell you ! :-D :-D

Plaid are just as useless, and potentially far more radical. i.e. 'far left wing'.

IMOH - you can stick the pair of them where the sun don't shine.

:-P

If Wales becomes independant does that mean that New South Wales will also have to break away from Australia and become a state of Wales :-0 :-0

I too like Derek.Think he knows his job.....
I also believe the naked photo was for a calendar ...like the calendar girls......for a charity for autism...so lets give him the benefit of the doubt .

So John you make statments like you being the only person in 50 at work that wants independence based on the fact that you have never talked about it with them. lololololololol

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt Brenda but I don't want to look at it again :-D

I think we should start a new politcal party in Wales.

We need to attract not only the floating voters but those that don't believe in using their vote. Don't want the Labour or Plaid voters, they can plow their own tedious farrow :-)

We need a catchy name
Emblem
Colour scheme
Song (I am loathe to call it a hymn)
Slogans (at least 2)

Oh and a few members with money to throw at it <3

I agree Sue....think we'll have women only....after all we are the ones who usually manage the finances and housekeeping.

MrD Please don't say the Labour Party and Plaid are left wing round this neck of woods. There is a village in the Rhondda (Maerdy) nicknamed Little Moscow. Now I can't see George Thomas or Neil Kinnock being a big fan of Marx and Engels - but many of the residents of Maerdy, and other villages round here, would line up behind them.

AnnC You should get out more. I reckon where you live, that 13% for independence would line up quite well. Perhaps not Whitchurch, but have a little walk round Pontcanna, Llandaff and some of the other smart suburbs of Cardiff at election time, and you will be surprised at number of Plaid posters in their mullioned and sashed windows. In my road of 70 houses, there are about 20 Labour posters and 4 Plaid posters at election time. The other 46 are more private about their opinions.

Ten years ago, if you were canvassing for Plaid in the valleys, you would get quite a bit of hostile treatment on the doorstep. That anti feeling has since changed quite dramatically. But 13% of electorate is a long way from a majority, so no worries about big changes immediately ahead. Unfortunately :-(

Keep going John you're statments are so funny it's like the reruns on TV. :-D

AnnCardiff Report 20 Jan 2013 00:35

I should get out more!!!!! you really take the biscuit you do

I have lived in Wales all my life and in the same area - my paternal line goes back centuries in this area - to at least the 1600s - I've lived longer than you and more to the point I know what I am talking about - I don't have to resort to Wikpedia or google for my info - I do not befriend racist pillocks of Archdruids

cosidering you live in Tonypandy you seem to know an awful lot about every place under the sun - we all wonder how on earth you manage it whilst shopping in North Wales, caring for half dead cats and pontificating on here on every subject that is raised - and apparently you do lay preaching as well - obviously this is good news for your family, if you have any apart from your Facebook loving son - cos you can hardly ever be home

Diolch yn fawr, Cnicht Du - many thanks, BK :-D

Reruns? We are like two characters in Last of the Summer Wine. I am Compo (incisive, educated and not concerned about appearances). You are Foggy (miltary precision, born to lead) ;-)

Ann :-D I have only said I live in Pontypandy and the Rhondda. And I actually do not live in Tonypandy - but do not want to be precise about the town or village where we live. And certainly do not want to reveal too much about my family, of which I am extremely proud.

Yes, I am a bit of a marvel. Yes, I do get out rather a lot and have been right about my political stats through last 45 years. Doubt I am suddenly wrong now ;-)

You have your views, which are held by a lot of people. I have my views, which were held by very few indeed in 1960's and were considered fringe and "extremist", even within Wales. But my views are held by quite a lot now and are mainstream - and just as respectable as yours. Prefer polite discussion. :-D
