Robert......and I thought you were in cahoots with Sporran Man! I would have been proud to have been rescued by you.

Sylvia..........like it!

Evelyn, you may be sorry to be going home but, hopefully, we may hear more from you once you are back.....?? I'm glad you have had a good break anyway and I am sure it will have done you some good.

Didn't have the grandchildren today as one of them is poorly, but will probably be back to normal tomorrow unless the other one succumbs!!

Words of Wisdom

Prayer is not a "spare wheel" that you pull out when in trouble, but it is a "steering wheel" that directs the right path throughout.

- Do you know why a Car's WINDSHIELD is so large & the Rear view Mirror is so small?
Because our PAST is not as important as our FUTURE. Look Ahead and Move on.

Friendship is like a BOOK. It takes few seconds to burn, but it takes years to write.

- All things in life are temporary. If going well, enjoy it, they will not last forever. If going wrong, don't worry, they can't last long either.

- Old Friends are Gold! New Friends are Diamond! If you get a Diamond, don't forget the Gold! Because to hold a Diamond, you always
need a Base of Gold!

- Often when we lose hope and think this is the end, GOD smiles from above and says, "Relax, sweetheart, it's just a bend, not the end!

- When GOD solves your problems, you have faith in HIS abilities; when GOD doesn't solve your problems HE has faith in your abilities.

- A blind person asked a wise man: "Can there be anything worse than losing eye sight?"
He replied: "Yes, losing your vision!"

- When you pray for others, God listens to you and blesses them, and sometimes, when you are safe and happy, remember that someone
has prayed for you.
- WORRYING does not take away tomorrows' TROUBLES, it takes away today's PEACE.

More to read & digest

One day, a poor boy who was selling goods from door to door to pay his way
through school, found he had only one thin dime left, and he was hungry.

He decided he would ask for a meal at the next house. However, he lost his nerve
when a lovely young woman opened the door.

Instead of a meal he asked for a drink of water! . She thought he looked hungry
so brought him a large glass of milk. He drank it so slowly, and then asked, How
much do I owe you?"

You don't owe me anything," she replied. "Mother has taught us never to accept
pay for a kindness."

He said ... "Then I thank you from my heart."

As Howard Kelly left that house, he not only felt stronger physically, but his
faith in God and man was strong also. He had been ready to give up and quit.

Many year's later that same young woman became critically ill. The local doctors
were baffled. They finally sent her to the big city, where they called in
specialists to study her rare disease.

Dr. Howard Kelly was called in for the consultation. When he heard the name of
the town she came from, a strange light filled his eyes.

Immediately he rose and went down the hall of the hospital to her room.

Dressed in his doctor's gown he went in to see her. He recognized her at once.

He went back to the consultation room determined to do his best to save her
life. From that day he gave special attention to her case.

After a long struggle, the battle was won.

Dr. Kelly requested the business office to pass the final bill to him for
approval. He looked at it, then wrote something on the edge, and the bill was
sent to her room. She feared to open it, for she was sure it would take the rest
of her life to pay for it all. Finally she looked, and something caught her
attention on the side of the bill. She read these words ...

"Paid in full with one glass of milk"

(Signed) Dr. Howard Kelly.

Tears of joy flooded her eyes as her happy heart prayed: "Thank You,
God, that Your love has spread broad through human hearts and hands."

There's a saying which goes something like this: Bread cast on the water comes
back to you. The good deed you do today may benefit you or someone you love at
the least expected time. If you never see the deed again at least you will have
made the world a better place - And, after all, isn't that what life is all
about?

The hardest thing to learn in life is which bridge to cross and which -- To burn

Isn't it nice to see old friends again? Welcome back Reece and we send you our love and quite understand that we will see you as and when you are able.

Wayne......still promoting stuff then? I bet you could sell ice to eskimos! The transcribing sounds interesting...who do you do it for?

Anne, you should really ask Frank where to get one of those thingummies, he's bound to know.

Had a busy time for the last couple of days.....my grandchildren's gt.grandma has died at the age of 93 so there have been some interesting discussions taking place with them!

Had 2 power cuts last night which interrupted my schedule no end! Can only take candlelight for a very limited time.

My daughter in law's sister has a boutique (she may have one of those thingummies Anne) and they had a fashion show tonight. Went along to support 'family' and discovered some of the clothing was quite acceptable to my age group (and size before Frank says anything). However, some of it was ultra short, ultra tight and ultra revealing!

Quick mooch before bed. Night all. Cx
