Well was about to do my dinner...

But looks like a quick breakfast is in order

Juices: orange, grapefruit and Lime ( citrus day)

Muesli, cornflakes and if you want to make porridge there is some oatbran and rolled oats in the pantry.... maple syrup, apple syrup and golden syrup are available.

Kidneys and Bacon, venison patties or gammon for the meaties

Mushrooms in garlic and butter sauce, scrambled eggs with parsley or vege ratatouille for the veges.

Bagels, gluten free bread, Irish soda bread and Turkish flat bread can be warmed or cold.

Spinach and feta gluten free scones, chocolate chip muffins or banana bread.... there is also some date loaf on the side board.

Butter, cream cheese, brie and Port Salut, marmite, orange marmalade and raspberry jam all available.

Coffee in the plunger, tea bags by the kettle. trim or ordinary milk.

No marshmallows or hot chocolate... someone has been sneaking into the kitchen late at night and having quiet little drinks.

Cheers Persie

Waffles tomorrow... I am good at waffling. ;-)

See you all later.

Lovely spread Persie - thank you. I like the idea of 'trim' milk - equivalent to our 'skimmed' I take it??

Hi Grace......sorry we all went and left you.......hope you're okay.

Hopefully a lazy morning followed by the grandchildren this afternoon.....now, what to do with them??

Love it Jonesy.

Humour is a survival mechanism even though the events were tragic.

We have just been looking at the traffic restrictions during the Olympics and we are not sure how we can operate.
We are going to have a nightmare getting in and home visits will be impossible.
Elderly people are brought in by car and many of our families come a long way.

I was watching the stadium for the shooting events being erected yesterday. They knocked down the Repository buildings in Woolwich for that.
Looks ugly. :-(

I have had another long week at work.
I have been coming home and falling asleep in front of the computer so not posted much.
Day off today so a lie in.
Drats I missed breakfast.
Went to physio though.
She is so pleased with my progress she is discharching me at the end of the month.
I can now overlap my fingers behind my back and my arm control has improved a lot.
I have upgraded to green latex now.
;-)

LK,

Glad you liked the Olympics post. Dea was a little concerned that you may have been upset by it. Also glad to hear that physio has had enough of you ;-)

I have to say I have 5* grandchildren. They've been absolutely brilliant and not an ounce of trouble or bother.

Nice little wander into town - Starbucks - back here - tea - home with their dad. Lovely jubbly.

Didn't have the quiet morning I'd hoped for though cos we had a visitor!

I must admit my eyebrows went up at the mention of the green latex......................wondered where it was leading for a minute............

Hi everyone

Just put my friend in touch with her second cousin who lives in South Africa but is over in St Helens until Wednesday. Her second cousin contacted me because I have been researching my friends tree for her and have a copy on Ancestry which is private. Yesterday I received a message asking about my friends granddad, a couple of messages later and a call to my mate there has been an exchange of phone numbers and so hopefully perhaps they will get a chance to meet before she goes back
