Toast (sourdough, rye, white, whole grain, 100% brown, Hovis, gluten free), crumpets, barm cakes

Muffins -- blueberry muffins, ginger date muffins, raisin bran muffins


Jams, jellies, Ginger marmalade, 3 fruit marmalade, marmite, peanut butter, vegemite

Hiya ja...x welcome back - don't work too hard now! Do the council still provide special keys for public toilets for the disabled? I can certainly understand your dilemma and that's why my mum was very wary about how long she was going to be out etc. It was like planning a military campaign checking access to this and that - lifts, ramps, toilets, wide doorways......a whole host of things to be thought through before we could go anywhere.

I remember we were due to change our car and wanted one which would take 5 of us plus dogs, wheelchair etc. It would have to be a second hand one so we went to a reputable dealer and decided we liked a Prairie - not made now I don't think but a bit like a people carrier.

Anywhere, there we were with our hearts set on this and we got mum to the door to help lift her in........couldn't do it. The seat was too high, she didn't have the strength to hoist herself up and, as I would be the one taking her out, I couldn't lift her either. Back to the drawing board. Can't remember what we got instead but think it was a hatchback of some kind.


Must stop wittering as we've have friends coming....see ya later ~~~~~

Had a lovely lunch and then took my poorly but much improved friend back to her house for the first time since January. She coped really well.


The friend we had lunch with was telling us about a funeral. It appears that the family had invited a Piper to play a lament presumably.

The Piper, turned up, all dressed up in his kilt etc., marched up to the Vicar, stuck out his hand and said "Jock".

The Vicar took the proffered hand and replied "Neil".

The Piper knelt.

I was up at 6am Cyns and out of the house at 7.30am and working from 8am till 4pm

And its going to be like that until this contract finishes in Oct

I stayed awake and enjoyed but a little confusing.
Doing as little as possible today.

I find all the HP films confusing to be honest. Not a fan I have to admit.


Glad you're relaxing LK..........it will do you good. Enjoy what's left of the day.

Cynthia my friend seems to be really overwhelmed. I think he is struggling with the diagnosis and how it will change their life, at the moment I guess he is thinking of all the negatives...I think it is putting a strain on the marriage as well. I have given him some stuff of my daughter's to use, like flash cards etc to help but I wish I could do more for them.

Hope everyone is all good, Sylvia glad that you are feeling better...all this talk of miniskirts..when I was in high school there was an old dragon vice principal. We had to kneel on the ground and if our skirt was greater than two centimetres from our knees, our uniforms had to be taken down..(and this was in the 80's). Goodness knows what she would think of the short short dresses girls wear now to go out!
