Strange day at work.

It flowed funny.

Very busy and I am shattered.

We were closed at 6 although we still had patients in here finishing off.

OH is assembling is home visit gear now.

Still getting people banging on the door.

No I cannot tell you how much that that frame from ?????? is worth. (probably knocked off) and your eyes maybe bad but you missed your appointment a month ago and I am going on holiday on Thursday So I cannot see till after I come back. No we cannot book it now as we are closed and the system is shutdown.

We are closed and I want to go home.

I have a training day tomorrow to help me regain my confidence. Looking forward to that.

Fanny was trying to lock two guests in as they hadnt paid and they got out by a door she hadnt locked?

Very odd, but I do remember it was a very calm/fun place, despite the chaos!

I do not lock people in cos they aint paid...

I used to have lodgers in my place in London and if they got behind with the rent I would warn em first and then I would just put all their gear on the doorstep minus enough to pay the back rent and change the locks....I did call em at work and tell em to get back quick or someone would nick all their stuff..

One person had gone to Chessington for the day after telling me she was broke and owed me 6 weeks rent...She soon got back and paid up..:)

Another fella tried subletting his room while he was on 2 weeks hols in Cyprus visiting family and pocketed the poor peoples money and didnt tell me what he was up to...Cheeky begger never did get his stuff back,not that it was worth owt though so I took it all to a charity shop...
Dont know where the people he had"sublet"his room to stayed but it certainly wasnt in my house.

No messing with me as a landlady back then I tells ya..

Then there was the one who had his room"burgled"even though it was locked after I found he had stolen a large amount of money from me...
As I explained to him over the phone when he asked if he could have some clean clothes...You pay me back what you stole and maybe your room will get "unburgled"..... :-D

My little dog as pictured kept me up all night. She is ten years old now and must be somehow popping her knee or hip out in her sleep so she wakes up yelping and hops around. If I go near her she growls at me, so it must be sore...and then she comes good again, If she keeps it up I guess we will be off to the vet.

Miserable Winter's day in Melbourne today and freezing!!! I need to win the lotto and become fabulously rich and only work if I choose to! Actually I'd really like to do some formal studies in genealogy and make it a little business for myself, although things are getting pretty tough financially in this country for a lot of people so things like your family tree I suppose become a luxury.

Toast, crumpets, bagels, served with dairy butter, various jams, jellies, and marmite.


In the warmers:
Crispy bacon, sausages, grilled tomatoes and mushrooms, black pudding, poached eggs, kedgeree

Amond tart, Lemon + walnut muffins, Iced carrot cake.

Thank goodness 'our Sylvia' will be back soon!!!
