The Vietnam War ... Singer and entertainer Dixie Leonard (Bette Midler) and her Entertainment Partner Eddie Sparks (James Caan) arrive in Vietnam, where her son is based, to entertain the troops.

While she is performing "In My Life" there is an air attack and her son is killed!

This is an amazing (if not harrowing) clip from the film itself... but bear in mind that there's a bad swear word in the very beginning!

I enjoyed your clips Tabitha.
Little did I know when I started my FH research in 2011 that I would find that I am partly a Londoner as well as Welsh lol :-D

I like really like Alun Armstrong but I was enchanted by the Jeremy Irons version at the proms. Not as good looking as his son though- Max Irons, King Edward in the White Queen! Max's mother is Sinead Cussack- where the looks came from :-D
