I've only got to open my mouth and people want to talk to the "Aussie" - mostly to ask what's going on in Home and Away and Neighbours :-D

MrD. All those big English cities are also near very beautiful places. For example, both Derby and Manchester are near the Peak District, Newcastle is near Kielder Forest and Liverpool is near Runcorn. ;-)

Here's a real druid - Arthur Pendragon (you don't have to be Welsh to be a druid):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LT32fXiglXQ

A really nice bloke - he uses the word 'respect for the dead' and sure as hell respects the living - no matter what their job!! :-D

Sorry, I've introduced druids again :-S

John, I've lived, worked or travelled frequently in or around them. along with many other places. I know, tks. That was not the actual 'point' of my post.

Not being as well travelled around the UK as John I cannot comment on many places.
I ventured up north for the first time in 2007 to Liverpool and was surprised how nice it was, I had only seen it on "Bread" before that :-D.....I then went up there again in 2008 We stayed in a very nice hotel on the Albert dock.

Mr Daff, whenever, wherever, my sister and I have travelled together (we like camping) assumptions have been made about us being 'sisters' :-S
Must be something about two women of a 'certain age' camping together

:-P

Yes, we reply - we are sisters - same mother type sisters :-D

Jax. I was taking the p out of Liverool a bit in my post, but I too like it. I particularly like the Ferry on a sunny, windy day. And those lovely old buildings (Liver, Cunard) :-D

Sandie :-D :-D :-D You may say that, I could not possibly comment ;-)

You may well have been taking the P out of Liverpool....I was just saying that was the only place north of Watford that I have been to, so could not comment on the others....Have travelled all over the world though
