You are so not funny.

If anyone should know what the Archdruid is doing I would've thought it would be you as you're a follower...so what's he doing, other than wondering why he gets glared at in local shops?

Plearsee...no !!!!
Not if they continue as they are.
As Eyeore said some of the posts are so not funny , almost verging on the despicable.

Supercrutch won't mind not reaching 1500 posts ( I'll give her crutch a whack if she does ! )
She wouldn't mind it if they were sensible tho. :-)

Eeyore. This man of 83 will be centre stage in August at the National Eisteddfod held in Denbigh. I expect he wil be competing under Robyn Llyn. And he is writing books in English and Welsh. What are you up to yourself?

The Archdruid for next 3 years will be Christine James, who hails from Tonypandy, was educated in Porth and has learned Welsh as a second language.

The Archdruid and her entourage (her Gorsedd) will welcome 160,000 visitors to Denbigh commencing 2nd August. And she will preside over 2014 and 2015 Eisteddfodau, both of which will will be held in South Wales (a break with a tradition of North-South going back to 18th century). Non Welsh speakers are made very welcome indeed - and there is a learners tent for those of any level of ability.

Ceffyl byrger or byrger ceffyl = horse burger. Sglodion = chips

BK. Your horse is as safe as your lance here in Wales :-D ;-)

What am I up to?

Well I thought I'd have a read of this Thread- you are the King of Contradiction!

I apologise to all the people who've screamed 'cause Johns repeated the Druid thing again.

I cannot compete John-I'm not in my eighties & I don't demand attention off shop staff because I don't believe I am the big "I am" .

I have the paperwork from my late Grandfather who was a Druid from England.Seems to be very different from your "hero".

Rose :-D :-D It was always closed when I went there too. Certainly could do with a little regeneration. Nice castle and plenty of lovely scenery around. Not far from coast either.

Eeyore. Very humble of you. :-) Doubt the old boy even knows people are critical of him. Probably an extremely high achiever who always believes he is right. Hmmmm? Who else is like him?

Are you implying that Eeyore has not done as much with her life as your 'friend', John? Success is measured in many different ways.

Eeyore13

Eeyore13 Report 22 Jan 2013 22:32

Humble...how kind lol

Who else is like him-Victor Meldrew springs to mind but I'm guessing you want the answer to be yourself???

Rose :-D

JustJohn

JustJohn Report 22 Jan 2013 22:36

SueMaid. A lot of people are ready to look at negatives on here. I was pointing out how hard Robyn Lewis is still working at 83 as Eeyore had questioned what he was up to.

How do we judge success? Cue for another thread, perhaps. But I for one wish I had had a fraction of his success and, irritating as he seems to be occasionally, I admire him a tremendous amount. :-D

High achievers, and I have met a few (in my opinion of course, teachers, writers, communicators), are usually very humble and painfully aware that despite their perceived level of achievement / knowledge there is still so much to learn, to do, to experience, and to teach...they very rarely ( I'd say never) consider themselves to be 'right' ....just 'reaching for it'.

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 22 Jan 2013 22:45

Yes I'm aware that you were answering Eeyore's question regarding what the man in question is up to now. Just wasn't sure why you asked Eeyore the same question?

A lot of negative people on here? I wouldn't have thought so.

Now I have lost the bleedin' will to live............................I don't care about any other druids (Arch or otherwise), I might care about how much stall holders are goiing to be ripped off again by this year. They were short of stall holders last year and offered my daughter one for £800, cheap eh? she turned it down

That, for nosey John is for the sale of her exclusive line of Welsh baby/toddler clothing...........but I don't wish to brag...she sells it in St. Fagans as well as many shops country wide....but I don't want to brag :-P

so please shut up about bloody druids!!!! (sorry C, you can tell me on the phone ) x

JustJohn

JustJohn Report 22 Jan 2013 22:47

Rose. Yes and no. I have also met high achievers who have been very humble.

But would you say the late Michael Winner, Baroness Thatcher and Richard Dawkins were humble? But many would say they were high achievers.

Personalities of high achievers (however defined) are as varied as the general population, I suspect. :-)
