So that was the reason for the red and white splodge on the window - lol Thank you for the thought LG. I have to make (or not) my own b'day cake, so you must be favoured!

Aunty, no doubt your weather will warm up when the sun is over the horizon, although you have had a considerable drop in only a few weeks. How kind of OH to get the heater out of the shed for you........or was he threatened?????

Make the most of the solitude Maz, and recharge your batteries for the days ahead.

My daughter made it for us. Not a bit of red in sight LOL. White and other colours but no red.

Did the little ones help as well.....with finger prints in the icing, or an over generous amount of sprinkles , lol

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 13 May 2010 23:24

Just been trying to find a Welsh geneology request thread from earlier on chat....it's gorn! Janeyc will not be pleased! If Aunty wanted a bit of excitement, then there may be some in the offing!

Morning all.

24 hours until the Big Day Maz! The national weather forecast looks good, so fingers crossed that they've got it right. A little chilly, mind, but you are Oop Norf!!

If OH can get up, I hope we will have an hour or so rellie headstone hunting while it is dry.

DET are you saying the Welsh thread is gone. Oooooh goodness there was a lot of work put into that one. I think I said somewhere that people just do not realize how long it takes to find some of this information.

Good luck with the nuptual festivities Maz. Just remember it is all good practice for when it is your turn. Ouch, ooof, Aunty runs and hides in the padded cell.

I'm off to see what Ask the Nutters has on offer.

I won't be long out of bed tonight. Very hectic day at work.

Heater is sitting in the computer room. Not switched on yet. Was quite pleasant today. Looks like the frozen conditions are, as DET said, before the sun gets over the horizon.

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 14 May 2010 11:22

Yes Aunty, it went....and the person concerned has started another one this morning on Chat which follows on from the original(s).

If I see you posting after 40 mins, you will get a nagging pm from me - lol

AuntySherlock

AuntySherlock Report 14 May 2010 11:41

Yes you were correct DET all that work whoosh gone in the click of a finger. It's difficult to make people understand that one day they might need the information. I had to go and look at some of the details on one of my first threads. Took me a while to find it but it was still there waaaaaaaaay back, not bothering anyone. Thank goodness because I would have felt a right idiot having to ask for the same search again.

Oh heavens I now have 20 minute left. Better get a hurry on because I still have things to do.

I keep thinking I should retire and do this during the day time. But that makes no sense because you lot are asleep anyway and I would only be talking to myself all day.

At least the puddietats (if the plan is still in place) are about to be sent into exile for a couple of days - lol.

We've been to the local cem, and found that John Allen's 2nd wife was also buried in the grave. Nice clear headstone with dates. RESULT!
