has any one out there got a connection with the wheeldon family .i have got as far as george wheeldon born 1880.he married alice talbot and they lived at owens bank tutbury staffs .i keep tracing back and keep being led to his father ,is it possible his name was john and came from leek in staffs .any help what so ever would be appreciated as i'm really stuck at the moment

hi scarlet ,on the birth cert i have ,alices father was joseph and mother alice .could it be posible that i have wrong birth cert .but it still rings true as george did marry twice .also those names you gave charlotte etc were all their family names .william was killed in the war his name is on the war memorial in tutbury staffs .thanks so much for your help .going to bed shortly as i have a bad back .will definitely come on line tomorrow . dot x

Dot, I agree with what Helena said, well done for sticking at it! I knew you'd get here in the end. Now, really to make sure we have the right Alice, i think you are going to have to get her marriage cert - that will show her fathers name- and maybe we need to bear in mind that she possibly had been married and widowed too - so maybe born with a different surname

i know my dads mum was definitely alice talbot .but which one ?. ,line .would i get the marriage cert from burton on trent registry office ,or should i go back to this man that did the talbot line .really thought i had a good lead .!!

Ca you ask the man that did the talbot line easily? he may know Alices fathrs name at the drop of a hat - it would save you £7. point being, no good going back with the wrong Alice Talbot really!
