i cant seem to view his tree

No, you can't view his tree. You can only view other people's trees if you ask them and they allow it.

You have to **contact him** as already described -- you click on the "Find out more" button beside his name and send him a message.

Never send a message just asking to view somebody's tree, of course. Explain that the person in his tree is your father and you are really hoping to meet other people in his family and get to know more about your family.

Oh, that's bad, that Ted has Michael in his tree.

It sounds like he doesn't even know Michael, so he certainly doesn't have his permission to put him in his tree!

But you see, Michael, how searching trees -- and putting names in your own tree so people can find *you* -- is what this site is best for, and the first thing you should do here.

Then you contact the members you find that way ...
