Im gathering Clapton is Hackney? another site states that 230 high street used to be a workhouse infirmary what does this mean ? |

The workhouse infirmary is just the 'hospital wing' as it were of the workhouse, in the 30s it would have been where non residents of the workhouse could also go for medical treatnebt ( pre NHS), women from the local community went there to give birth also. |

Ok so im guessing thats where the baby was born all points to that on google. Does that mean she would of worked in the work house? |

Unlikely I think, she probably just went there prior to the birth and discharged after. |

well according to the hackney hosp creed she was in hosp 2.5.1930 to 14.5.1930 maybe the places are one and the same |

I think 230 High Street, was part of Hackney Hospital known as the Hackney Institution from 1930- 1948 |

Yer thats what im now thinking too kinda hoped was a home or something as may of given me another avenue but I already have the registration information the hospital have |
