1861 census for Bradford, Yorks please

Thanks Jonesey, I don't think this is getting much clearer but it seems that my Mary Brooksbank 1851, father James, did not have grandparents Isaac and Mary Smith in 1861 unless they were just child minders referred to as granparents? |

Thank you Mary, this means that Mary's mother was James' sister, a Smith but I cannot find a marriage for her with James Brooksbank. The 1881 census gives Mary's place of birth as Denholme (after she was married so I know she is my Mary). I need to see if I can find James Smith's siblings. There does appear to be only one Mary 1851 in FreeBMD that could match so I will try and get the descendant to cough up (a friend of a friend who I don't know from Adam - Eve really) |
