I just wanted to say that since I accidently clicked onto this site just a few weeks ago it has opened up the wonderful world of Genealogy to me I have avidly been researching for my ancestors and have found that my great grandfather changed the family name from Trick to Trigg just after the turn of the century. this is fasinating stuff I am addicted. I just need some tips on keeping the computer turned off long enough to do some housework.

I guess Max is a female then lol IN answer to the previous question "who rushes around to tidy up when hubby comes home from work" (or words to that effect; certainly not MY wife lol I'd wonder what was happening if the house was tidy ;-) She does do the washing machine trick though lol

Hey I wouldn't mind if she was doing something productive, like we all on here are, far too many hours spent watching Trisha in her case I'm afraid !!!!

Just read through this thread and have come to the conclusion that life is a mystical time in our existence where we flit from one phase to another (takes on average 70 years) before we get on to the next adventure. Take your time ladies, sod the ironing and washing and cooking and decorating...just get on with enjoying yourselves...like we men do!!! LOL

How right you are Brian, it has taken me 70 years to realise that there are other things in life other than a neat and tidy house. I have two pairs of boots and a pair of shoes at the bottom of the stairs waiting to be taken up(they have been there for about a month now) but a pair of the boots will be handy to step out into the snow - saves me going upstairs for them. Yeah!!! Norah in Hampshire (with a light covering of snow, but thunder and lightning two or three hours ago!!!)

I do the Washing Machine thing, then forget I have done the washing and don't hang it out. Hang on a minute, I've just remembered I have a load to hang out now, Sorry. Sylvia

I love this thread.... It confirms everything I always suspected about houswork (and the people who do it). The crucial question for the ladies is... Have your partners actualy noticed? Bob
