DEAR RAE, I am highly esteemed,to write you this very urgent letter I am Barrister Adamson Samgbo,a Solicitor and Personal Attorney to STEPHEN H.RAE a national of your country,who before his death was an oil merchant who works in Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Company {NLNG}. On the 21st April 1997,my client his wife and their only kid were involved In a car accident along Lagos Abuja Express Road.Three of them unfortunately lost their lives.Since then I as the Personal Attorney of the deceased had made several inquiries to your embassy to locate any of my clients extended relative but this has proved unsuccessful. After several unsuccessful attempts,I decided to trace his relatives through the Internet, to locate any member of his family but to no avail,hence I contact you.I have dicided to contact you to assist in repatriating the money and property left behind by my client before they get confiscated or declared unserviceable by the Bank where this huge Deposits were lodged.Particularly,the Bank where the Deceased had an Account valued at about $25M {Twenty Five Million United States Dollars}as at last two months assessment. The Bank has issued me a notice as the Attorney to the Deceased to provide the Next of Kin or have the Account confiscated within the Next 21 official working days since i have been unsuccessful in locating the relatives for over the years that i have been searching.On this order,I seek your consent to present you as the Next of Kin to the Deceased since you bear the same surname,as the bank is ready to listen to you provided you have the correct Information of the Account,which i will give to you immediately you agreed to assist me,so that the proceeds of this Bank Account valued at $25Million Dollars can be paid out in your favour. As a Barrister,i have all the necessary Legal Documents that will be used to back up the claim.All I require from you is your honest co-operation to enable us ! see this deal through.I guarantee that this transaction will be executed under a legitimate banking arrangement that will protect you from any breach of law.I have agreed to give you 40% for your assistance,while 60% will be for me.All I requires is your honest,cooperation your private telephone,fax number and your address to enable us seeing this deal through.I guarantee that this will be executed under a legitimate arrangement that will protect you and me from any breach of the law.

A real solicitor would send a letter on headed notepaper to your address. An address is used normally before an e mail. Also the amount would not be disclosed before the solicitor confirms that you are the person to benifit. A scam Elaine :o)) x

Hello Nat, This is definitely a confidence scam. I've received hundreds of these over the past two years, claiming relationships with virtually every past dictator in Africa and many other parts of the world, and offering me squillions of pounds or dollars. When I spoke to the local police some 18 months ago, they said that GB forces were trying to liaise with police authorities in the countries concerned, but had virtually give up in the face of indifference and corruption in the foreign police forces concerned. Although there are probably many other gangs now involved, the original ones all seemed to be Nigerian. Anyway, their advice was to delete any such messages, and under no circumstances to reply. Apparently one or two victims had replied, and the intention of the gang is to gain access to your bank account details and then raid it! Beware! Philip

If this was a legit email he would'nt have used the word "KID" instead of child!!!! Infact there are loads of mistakes - especially if this is written by a barrister.

It's the 419 scam. Been going for so many years now that I can't remember how many. There is NO vast fortune in US dollars or any other currency. Never has been and never will be. So do as the others say - and delete it.

Forward it to your service provider and ask them to take action. Freeserve sorts them for me and writes SPAM on them so that I can delete straight away. XX Dave

Natalie Just agreeing with everyone else that this is definitely a scam. I get loads of them every week - not at home but at work, and I work in a school so goodness only knows how they get through the filter. Mandy :)

Oh no, not another one! I just file them and have a look and laugh at them occasionally.

These scams seem to be coming thick and fast at the moment i am having at least 3 a day .I dont even open them you never know if they contain virus,s anyway.Just get rid . Val from a very wet but humid Kent
