Andy, have a look at http://www.amazon.*co.uk/exec/obidos/search-handle-form/026-4641716-2018815 It's a bargain now - imho!

John, may check out how much Brendan's last cd is going for, later on. I was thinking of investing in it a while back but it seemed over-priced at the time. Had Keane blasting out of my cd player this weekend whilst I was travelling to and from Blackpool for the last weekend of the illuminations. :-)

I work half the week for Warwickshire CMS. I visit schools in the north of the county. My wife teaches in a primary school near Atherstone. Andy, I've been on Brendan's site this morning - good construction. I'll be getting his latest CD from Amazon soon.

John, I live between Coventry and Nuneaton! I work in school nr. Rugby/Leamington so really only live in my house as it's easier to shop that side too. Fi has just told me the concert was fantastic - her first one, she is nearly 16. Iz.

My mate saw Brendan Benson support The Flaming Lips sometime last year when in Germany and reckoned he was pretty good. He's not that well known over here but I've heard a few of his songs, in particular 'Pleasure Seeker' and it was very listenable stuff.

It was loud and good quality music. All the songs had proper endings! The support (Brendan Benson, from USA) was energetic and varied in style. Where in Warwickshire are you? I'm from the north.

John, My daughter was also there last night with her friend - so wanted to go myself! Glad you enjoyed it.

We went to see them last night at the Carling Academy in Birmingham - had a marvellous time.

You've got discerning taste there Andy. I'm going to see them in Birmingham in two weeks time. I'll give them your regards shall I?

Well, finally got round to buying 'Hopes and Fears' today and it's very, very good indeed. Current faves are 'Bend & Break' and 'This Is The Last Time'. Vocalist sounds a bit like Fran Healy of Travis at times but it's confident sounding and very listenable. Impressive stuff.

Got tickets to see them in Birmingham on 7th November today. Hurrah!

I agree, John, it's really great and I already can sing along with some of the tracks! lol As an "oldie", it is interesting to note that my son 23 and daughter 20 also enjoy this CD. Sue

Well, Hopes and Fears found its way into my shopping trolley yesterday. And I'd like to say thank you to Paul and John for recommending it - it's brill! Even my other half likes it and he usually only listens to stuff that's at least 20 years old! lol. No.1 Daughter did get her mitts on it for a short while but only after I'd made threats of certain death if I didn't get it back! lol Don't you think that Bend and Break (my tip for their next single) sounds rather like Freddie Mercury? Hi all Just thought I would throw in some comments on Keane as the CD is hardly ever out of my CD player at the moment! I saw them when they were supporting Travis earlier this year. They were amazing! Hadn't really heard of them before that but I went straight out and bought the album and have been listening to it ever since. Lynne

Hey, I have nothing against guitars per se, just made a nice change to bring the piano to the fore. No... haven't heard the Jets CD yet.. wife keeps telling me I buy too many CD's (a couple a week), so I haven't got that one yet...

John I've got lots of Georges in my tree but no Ringos yet! lol I doubt I will have the cd in my possession long enough to do a review. I usually get to listen to a cd once (twice if I'm lucky!) then it disappears into my teenage daughters room never to be seen again. They do sometimes reappear when we've had a barny about the state of her room - usually at high speed and in my general direction! lol Have either of you two heard Jets Get Born cd yet. Sorry Paul it is guitars but well worth a listen. Jeanette
