Aw my heart goes out to you. I wish you a happy birthday and I'm sure many more of us do too. I'm not going to make excuses for your family, they are obviously too bound up in themselves to think about anyone else. That doesn't make YOU a bad person. I have an (ex) mother in law that doesn't remember her only two grandchildren's birthdays or christmas and she's a millionaire. Keep your chin up, remember you are special. Here's a hug \0/ xx Annie

Don't be sad, all families are the same. They blow hot and cold all the time. I don't know how old your son is, but they do go away for a time and when they get older they come back. There is a saying:- If you love something, let it go and if it comes back to you, then it is yours. Just be patient. Jo.

Hi Christine Think I've just managed to squeeze in another happy birthday wish before it's too late! Did your day get better as it went on? I hope you soon get your thyroid under control; it can take some time but I'm sure you'll get there in the end. My mother also has the same problem but eventually the doctors have managed to bring it back into balance. I'm sure the next year will be a better one for you. Best regards Helen
