Just remebered another one- when my parents were together when i was little- every night my dad would sing to me- two little boys it chokes me up when i hear it now- cos im not very close to my dad but really wish i was...and that song means alot to me. leann rhymes how do i live without you..is my sister rubys song- when she was 2 she had meningacocal scepticemia (wrong spelling i know) she was on life support and was very scary...that song had just come out and it reminds us all of ruby. Tracy Chapman- Fast car is a very moving song- love that one and im sorry but i gotta say it...spice girls!!! wannabe...me and my mum used to jump around the room dancing to it!! lol lol xx

Kevin - you mentioning the Band played Waltzing Matilda reminded me of the Green Fields of France - also written by Eric Bogle - (sometimes known as How do you do Young Willie McBride) my dad used to sing along to it with Foster and Allen - My daughter taught herself the tune on the guitar in memory of her grandad - I admit I weep when I hear her play guitar - for a performance piece in exams she played Bachs Air on a G String on an electric guitar with reverb - it gave me goosebumps. The assessors gave her a standing ovation and a merit - was so proud of my baby

Hi all Apart from all the great songs that you have all already mentioned, old and new, one that always gets me is Blessed, I think it was by TLC. Could have been Eternal now that I think about it. It always makes me think how lucky I am and makes me cry! Anyone know it? Lynne

paul i love that song STUCK IN A MOMENT by U.2.when i was going through a rough time that was one of the songs that made me happy and cheerful.it said on the tele that bono wrote that song for micheal hutchence when he died.that's another song i like but i cannot remember the song title.i would probebly say this is my all time favourite.the lines are to the chorus/I ,I WAS STANDING YOU WERE THERE TWO WORLDS DIVIDED.that's all i know .any ideas what it was called.i am singing it nowxxxx(:

'Jerusalem' always reminds me of my mum and the ladies of the Women's Insitute. When I was about 10 they built a huge overspill estate opposite our house. My mum hosted The WI Garden Party not long after and all the ladies were gathered on our front lawn singing 'Jerusalem' to the accompaniment of an accordion, much to the amusement of everyone living opposite who were hanging out of their bedroom windows watching!
