I'm not in love - 10cc brings back memories of the first man I really fell in love with. The cars' Drive always reminds me of that footage shown at LiveAid of starving children. Any classical music, especially opera, brings back my dad - I can picture him conducting the music and singing along! nell

To make me cry because of the memories they bring back.........Even Now by Barry Manilow, Only You by Flying Pickets, Smile by the Rockin' Berries, Every Time We Say Goodbye by Ella Fitzgerald, Dream a Little Dream of Me by Mama Cass. To make me proud to be British.............Jerusalem and Land of Hope and Glory, especially sung at the Last Night of the Proms To make me feel young again..............Bat out of Hell by Meatloaf, played at full volume on the car stereo with all the windows open, speeding up the A3! To make me cry coz I'm a silly old Grandma.!............Away in a Manger, sung by any small children, but especially my grandchildren in their Nativity plays. To remind me that I was born into a Christian family............Adeste Fideles (O Come All Ye Faithfull) sung in an old C of E church loudly enough to make the rafters ring. Sue

Anything by Bobby Goldsboro especially 'Autumn of my life' and 'Honey', Make me bubble up...so sad. Uplifting song is 'Flower of Scotland', the version I prefer is by the Alexander Brothers. 'Nessum Dorma' by Pavarotti gives me goose bumps ~~ 'Do the Hucklebuck' by Brendan Boyer and 'Run Runaway' by Slade reminds me of my teenage years and carefree times. Just to name a few... ...Babz

To bring a tear to my eye - Nans song by Robbie Williams - saw him sing this live at Knebworth last year - absolutely fab or I will always love you - Whitney Houston version, this was played at a funeral I went to years ago, the person who had died was only in his early 20's, him and his wife had danced to it as their first song only a few months before and his wife was expecting their first child when he died, even know I cant listen to the song. To get me turning the volume right up - Living on a prayer by Jon Bon Jovi Bring back memories song - Somewhere out there, dont know who it was by, it was in a cartoon movie with mice in it - I remember in my early teens singing this in my back garden looking up in the stars, wishing that I had a boyfriend. flower of scotland has sad memories for me as my auntie died of cancer and us fellow scots always have fond memories of our roots when that's played.the day of her funeral my mother and her brothers had paid for a lone piper to play that in the church when her coffin was being brough in.she had the scottish heather draped over the coffin aswell which was said to look lovely rather than just having a plain casketxxxx(:

A lot of unknown music mentioned, but obviously loved. I have to agree with Linda P on the Intermezzo from Cavaleria Rusticana, remember singing this piece in the Colchester Boys Choir (not solo either), good memories. Love Little Nell's choice, especially Cars with Drive, but for curling up at night, try Millie Jackson singing 'I want to kiss you all over' Wow !!! Derek in France
