Hi all, Last Tuesday I drove to North Wales and, when nearing my journey's end I was pleased to see that someone had thoughtfully sited a sign saying St. Winifred's well! Bless her. Jim

Trish, I live near Crook (always loved Burnside in The Bill). I'm like David when I see Heavy Plant Crossing and used to imagine a triffid lumbering along. I used to live in Lincolnshire where there was a sign,"To Mavis Enderby and Old Bolingbroke" and someone added underneath "a Son". My favourite place name is Claxby Pluckacre. Elfx

I severely embarrased my children when they were about 6 and 8. For more than a week, there was sign by the road, put there by a householder indicating where the skip should go. In bold letters were the words SKIP HERE.......and I did - every time!!!lol maggie
