been listening to the coverage of this on the radio - must repeat what's been said above - at present, these are UNCONFIRMED reports. doesn't look good though does it.

I have just read this on the Aljazeera website:- "Kenneth Bigley, the British hostage who was kidnapped by a militant group in Iraq, is reported killed, unconfirmed reports on an Arab TV station said. "We have learned from informed sources in the Iraqi capital that the kidnappers of Kenneth Bigley have killed him," an Abu Dhabi newscaster said. Ken Bigly was kidnapped along with two Americans on September 16 by a militant group in Iraq, the two Americans were beheaded shortly after their capture. The Foreign Office has informed Mr. Bigley's family of the reports but says it cannot confirm them. "We are doing what we can to establish how accurate these reports are," the Foreign Office spokesman said. There has been no direct word from the hostage since he appeared in a video on September 29, pleading for his life and accusing British PM Tony Blair of lying. On Monday Paul Bigley, Ken’s brother, said he believed that his brother has been handed over to a new, more moderate group in Iraq. The new group that Bigley was transferred to is the same group which has released the two Italian aid workers last week. This is not the first report that claims that Mr Bigley has been executed. But a previous claim on an internet site was dismissed as unreliable. Commenting on the new report, Paul Bigley said: "I have heard nothing at all. "I have been optimistic and remain optimistic." Paul said he was praying the news turn out to be untrue." Praying for Mr Ken Bigley, and all his family and friends. I want to try to pray for his captors. Joy

Just hearing that there is reported to be a video of his murder. It is all beyond me. Just cannot understand. Maz. XX

If it is true, maybe they did it when they heard it reported that there had been no weapons of mass destruction found in Iraq. Joy
