There is so much childish bickering going on that I have decided not to bother with these threads. A laugh is a laugh but there is no need to descend to Kindegarten level. Maybe I will join in again when you have all grown up. Jim

Hi Jim Don't blame you mate. That's why most of us members who have been here a while don't bother with this board too much. I still like to have a read but I tend to stick to the tips board and help poeple. Jeanette x

Generally agree with Jim, the Tips and Records Office boards are the only two I would retain.

Hi Jim I agree with you my pet and i only look at the Northeast/Southwest thread ,oh and the Wakefield meet up one, can't be bothered with some of the rest. There is more to life than bickering Ann

I usually stay out of contentious debates but am I the only one who doesn't get worked up by such things? If people want to bicker/argue then let them, I don't have to read the threads. I pick and choose what I want to respond to and come and go as I please. Just my opinion for what it's worth.

Jim - I keep missing the threads because our computer is in hospital, so am having a quick look at work - just want to say, please don't go - want to get back to the 'stirring' thread when / if our computer is made better, and how will I know about Dooley then, please?! Joy

Don't go Jim! Just ignore the silly threads and don't get involved, like I try not to do. You know that you'll miss us all if you decide to leave! Love Maggy

Well we all have the freedom of choice to read these boards and reply or not. No one is forced to read & parcipitate in debates on here. Sometimes threads are started with the intention to stir, and like it or not, its human nature to respond. All of us on here are called the rich tapestry of life. Each thread giving its comment , point, argument, adoration or reason. Making interesting debate from a wide throng of different people. Elaine x

yes but people take it to the extremes to really upset people which i find unnecessary especially when they have proved a point but still carry on with it.x

But then again Lisa, comes the point of free choice. You dont have to read the thread, to continue to get upset about it. Elaine x

Out of sheer curiosity I've had a peep at certain threads, and don't see the point of some of the replies. From observation, it seems to me that they're put there to antagonise which is a great shame. As I've said on another thread, I've always found the people on here to be so friendly and helpful. Don't go, Jim. Glenys.

Please don't go. I know how you feel though. When I first started on GR a year ago, it was really pleasant and everybody was friendly. About three of four months ago it did start to get silly. Don't let a few silly people ruin it for the rest of us. Please don't go. Jo. X.

Jim There will always be the prima donnas and would-be martyrs who send up howls of anguish if challenged or criticised. I have had my share of them. Surely you and I are old enough to ignore them and proceed serenely on our ways? Whatever you do, don't join them. Len
