Its Manzies and its in Chapel Street Market, Islington. My other haunt was Cook's on Kingsland Road (oppposite Ridley Road Market)but its closed now and its a Chinese take away now..boo,hoo. They were my faves, especially Cooks who did Beatutiful puddings like spotted dick and custard, apple pie and custard, lovely. There was one in Exmouth Market and Roman Road too, but for the life of me I cannot remember their names, both were great. I don't remember any others. Pie & Mash is nothing without liquor....(which is watery green colour cause its parsely sauce). Mmmmmmmmmmm Love jellied eels but never liked it when I used to see them swimming in Cook's front window. Sorry I cannot help you on the one you want hopefully someone will be able to. Pat x

My Great Grandmother & Grandfather came from London. (Grandmother was born in the St Giles Parish) They moved here to Liverpool & up until my Great Grandmothers death in 1980 she raved upon Pie & Mash with jellied eels & pigs trotters........................she used to say that Liverpool can not beat London for the pie, mash, eels & pig trotters! She used to send my nan down to the chip shop for them all the time.......................I think that is why the rest of the family went right off them! Lynsey x

The REAL liquor was made using the stock from the jellied eels.........thats what gave it the real flavour.........There used to be a Tubby Isaacs stall near the aldgate/ aldgate east underground stations........ Mudies and Cooks used to be in Stratford, and Forest Gate

There were 2 pie and mash shops in the Tower Bridge Road, Bermondsey one was called Manzies and the other Joyces. Joyces was the best one. Berts pie and mash was in the Old Kent Road. Yum Yum.

Hells teeth! When I was a hippy back in the sixties there was one on the bottom of Holloway Road, on the right just before the Angel. We'd go out on a Saturday night, down half a dozen blues (Purple hearts for those who didn't) go and see some band at the Lyceum or the Marquee, Pink flamingoe etc. Then Sunday morning mooch across London to the Angel for Pie or Eels and mash. Liquor, which was I think mushy peas too!

The best pie and mash shop was Arments down the Walworth Road, opposite East Street Market and just along from Carter Street (famous police station) to all us South Londoners, then it moved to Westmorland Road. Haven't pie and mash for years. Belle.
