Okay Jim, I'm going to be serious here!! (honest) Sex is different for men and women - despite medieval writings that sex is 'good' for women - this was written by men - for obvious reasons. The majority of men can use sex as a 'release' - some women can as well, but for women, under sober circumstances good sex occurs when you love the person you're with. So 'casual' sex doesn't have the same meaning/feeling for men and women. Celibacy for women rarely has anything to do with sexual preference - just no sex is better than mediocre sex!!! I'm not a man so can't really judge the 'other side'. The above was gleaned whilst studying religion believe it or not, most religions - not only Buddhism- recommend celibacy for men to reach enlightenment - very few recommend it for women lol maggie |

I can't agree with Maggie's comments, especially that "... (for women) no sex is better than mediocre sex". That has to be one of the most misleading statements I've ever come across in my life. Sorry, Maggie, but there are plenty of women who go to quite some length to have sex, because even lousy sex can still be quite good. And when the sex is good, women will pursue it to the ends of the earth! |
