My GGUncle was John Victor Saunders who was a test cricketer for Australia. He was a bowler who played against England. His 1st test was 1901-1902 and last test 1907-1908. On my husband's side, his GGGGGrandfather was William Cox who built the 1st road over the Blue Mountains in Australia.

related distantly to a lady called kathy anders who won miss world in 1976...so im told.although not related in anyway my nearest claim to fame is the bronte sisters stayed with one of my family members when they were teenagers,in clayton or barnsley,must ask my grandad again lol.

My only claim to famous ancestors is my Gx6 grandfather Henry Floyd, who was, according to the newspapers 'probably the heaviest man in England' - well he was famous in Romsey!! My children, however are g g grandchildren of Charles Stewart Parnell & Katie Wood, and their grandfather (my late fil) was chef to King George VI and Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother - and many interesting tales he had to tell!! Bob was awarded the MBE for his services. Unlike certain ex employees of the Royal Household he kept his tales to himself and his family!! maggie
