I think Strump may have met a rugger player.................... I've met the Beatles (just quick autographs). I sat next to Norman Vaughan when I went to a panto. When Michael Barrymore was in panto here I saw him in the street. I did a sort of double-take because I wasn't sure who it was and he said "Awright?" and I laughed. Next thing he was dancing me up and down the pavement persuading me to go to the panto. I met Phil off Time Team a few years ago and I was like a silly schoolgirl. I just love that programme. Gwynne

Joe Pasqualie comes into the supermarket I work in to pick his wife up. He is taller than you think and yes he has got a squeaky voice. Also Micky from the Bill and Jools Holland pop in. In the sixties I met most of the pop stars as I was an autograph hunter being lucky enough to frequent Carnaby and Denmark Street and the Ram Jam club in Brixton. Shirley

As the Police officer in charge,I accompanied the much maligned Prince Charles to a small work-place. The weather was diabolical and snowing heavily. His driver was in a mad rush to get back to London and there was barely time to do it even in the best of conditions. Because of the weather, only a crowd of thirty turned up outside. The prince came out , shook the hands of some and showed an interest in each one, in what I took as a gesture of thanks for them turning out in such weather. He was hatless and looked like a snowman as he got back into his car with one very unhappy driver. Happy days

Actually I'd completely forgotten that I've seen Tom Cruise, Penelope Cruz, and Timothy Spall close up in Leicester Square for the premiere of Vanilla Sky, 3yrs ago. My brother and I had spent the day in London and stumbled across the event and whilst I wasn't particularly bothered about whether I saw Tom Cruise or not, it was hard not to get swept along by the whole event. He was doing his usual thing of working the crowd of screaming female fans, stopping to chat on fan's mobiles etc...
