I, as a Mother in law, think it is sad that so many of you do not have a good relationship with yours. I look on my daughter in law as a second daughter, we get on really well and are having a weekend away together (just the 2 of us) this weekend), I love her to bits and consider my son is very lucky to have found her. I wonder how all the Mothers in law would describe their Daughters and sons in law? Ann Glos

People always make fun of mother in laws. But it works the other way as well. Daughter in laws can be down right rude, ungrateful and a pain as well.

i would have loved to have a good relationship with my mil but she thought i was a posh southerner(why???)but she never cared about my husband which really got my back up,its the same with my sil too. my hubby thinks my mum is a great mil,they get on really well and from the time we met he's called her mum
