I used to be but now the roles are reversed, both children in their twenties now with there own cars and insist on takeing me where I want to go. What goes around, comes around |

Yes this one certainly is! My youngest is 20, lives at home and drives his own car, but I always offer to pick him up after he's been clubbing - even if it means getting out of my warm bed, as I did last month, to scrape off my car at 3am! I'd much rather do that than let him or any of his mates drive - even if they've only had one drink. I've also done it for my older kids, even though none of them live at home now. I'm also Grandma's Taxi Service. Today I picked up 2 grandchildren from school 5 miles from my house, then drove about 8 miles to collect my daughter from the hairdressers, then back into town to get Macdonalds for the kids, then 4 miles to daughter's house, then 5 miles back to my house! Good job my car is quite economical on petrol! No rest for the wicked! LOL Sue xx |
