Hi Joy :-D :-D :-D <3 <3 <3

Haven't been on here for a while but I'm certainly not celebrating today :-(

We've been so, so careful for the last 16 months but on Tuesday I met a friend for coffee and she phoned me yesterday to say she wasn't feeling well and had tested positive for Covid. I am now awaiting my PCR test from test and trace and I have to self isolate until next Friday night - even if I test negative. So fed up as we were going out for lunch tomorrow as it's hubby's birthday. Oh well, hopefully there will be other birthdays to celebrate.

Take care everyone. <3

Morning Kath and Belle. <3 :-D

Sorry to hear about that, Kath. :-(

Two birthdays and a wedding anniversary, Belle. One today, one yesterday and the third in a few days. <3 :-D

Still trying to be good, though - three households for the barbecue. <3

I hide away in October there's so many birthdays and anniversaries :-S

I'll have to post all those cards in the post in the next few days :-0

Kath, thank you. As Belle wrote, you can celebrate just a tad later and I hope you enjoy your meal when the time comes.

It makes you feel your age doesn't it Pat? My eldest nephew was 60 in February and I'm sure I'm not old enough to have a nephew that old ;-)

Our son called in from work yesterday so we enjoyed our chat in the garden. He stayed his distance from us as there is covid where he works.

He got his delayed birthday card and present - he was in London on business for his birthday week so celebrated himself with a slap-up meal.

Kath, he mentioned how gridlocked Durham was following that bad fatal accident as that major road was closed until this morning. Poor people. <3

I know Kath, I could say it makes my sister old but I'm the eldest - my 2 are younger than my nephews though :-D

When my sister became 50 I asked my mother how she felt at having her 2 daughters in their 50s - her reply was I'm not getting any older so you 2 must be catching me up.

Think she had the right idea. :-D :-D :-D

JoyLouise

JoyLouise Report 17 Jul 2021 11:08

She certainly did, Pat, as son is now 50. :-D

Still got several years before number two child reaches that age. :-D

Gawd, I am pleased (and lucky) that I don’t feel my age. :-D

KathleenBell Report 17 Jul 2021 11:18

You are lucky Joy - I feel more than my age every day :-(

Arthritis and joint replacements along with a number of other ailments certainly doesn't do you much good.

My eldest son will be 50 next year.

Think I'd better put up some smiley faces as this thread is supposed to be a happy smiley one. :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Condolences for those involved in that terrible accident. The A1 is busy at the best of times but with the road closed all day the other roads would be a nightmare.

Good morning all :-)

.....and congratulations JoyLouise.

Kath, sorry to read that you can't go for your planned meal.
It's worrying to know that your friend had a positive test result and you now have to isolate.
I hope all will be well with you.

Really getting hotter here now.
Local roads are likely to be heaving, as people make their way to the coast.

Think it's a stay-at-home day.

Morning Gwyn <3

Too hot for me here. All the windows and the back door are open.

Enjoy your day everyone.
