Belle, ain't you curious about your Milkman?

Before we left the UK we had milk delivered to the doorstep and never once heard them in the early hours.

We returned to a house six doors from where we'd previously lived and sought the milkman out (they lived in walking distance). He told us they had retired and gave us the number of the person who had ourchased his round so werang and ordered deliveries.

Gawd, what a racket he made in the early hours! Even I was awoken by him and I am a sound sleeper. :-|

We cancelled deliveries quick smart, I can tell you.

Thank you Gwyn and Joy, I'm afraid it's nothing new to him, his back always plays him up but there's times when he's the problem ;-)

Morning from a dull Aberdeenshire, my bit anyway.

Been blowing a gale all night & with the temperature going up a little the snow has turned slushy & VERY slippy, the main A road near us was almost impassable due to the dry snow yesterday blowing off the fields.

Then this morning the rain came down down which made the house road difficult, it was hard going for hubby, he got down it ok but coming back he had a job getting back up the incline, the house is right at the top of a hill, he should have got on the sledge or skis! No maybe not lol.

Will be glad to see the back of the horrible snow.

Joan.

Dogs are useful for cleaning up a dropped egg they were in our house.
Ours loved it when one got dropped, usually alerted by me swearing about what I had done!

Hi Island, Joan and Fly. <3 :-D

Just done our weekly chat with siblings.

No eggs to break in our house. I forgot to put them on last week's order but I've made sure we get them this Thursday.

I am just going to sort out Sunday lunch as we're having your typical roast beef dinner early, rather than this evening. Then I think I'm going to curl up and watch some of the shows I've recorded this afternoon and pig out with chocs I have left over from Christmas. :-D

Enjoy the rest of the day everyone. :-D

Afternoon Everyone :-D <3 :-D <3

Howling outside. Torrential rain, gales. Rhodri the cat has had to cross his legs all day!!
The living room lights were flickering on at off earlier. Yesterday morning we had a dusting of snow :-0
Perhaps we will have a heatwave tomorrow ;-)

I remember that William Shakespeare poem Joy :-D
We learned it in primary school. My friend and I made up accompanying actions to it and I still "blow my fingers" even now when I'm cold :-D

We started having milk delivered at the start of the crisis. We have two 2 litres plastic bottles twice weekly ( we cancelled Thursdays) It's exactly the same milk as in our local shop. £2 for two bottles. £2 each with the milkman. But hey, at least I can limit visits to the shop. Although yesterday morning there was only one bottle on my step! A mistake? or stolen? Daughter arranged it and has the contact details so haven't phoned myself!

Another Rugby day for me. May see you later if I can get dinner out of the way in time.

Keep Safe Everyone <3
