Our temp is now above freezing point but I think Ann has sent the wind our way which makes it fell very chilly.

I was greeted by a row of icicles when I opened the blinds of one of our back patio windows this morning; we had about a nine-foot stretch of blocked gutter which OH has now cleared. It reminded me of this lovely, descriptive little snippet learned at school:

When icicles hang by the wall,
And Dick the shepherd blows his nail,
And Tom bears logs into the hall,
And milk comes frozen home in pail .....

Can you remember when milk was delivered in bottles to your doorstep and in winter birds would peck at those tops to dip their beaks into the milk?

One of my brothers has started to get milk deliveries again. <3

We had milk delivered when D was alive but when he passed I had to cancel it as I only get through 2pts of milk a week :-(

It's a long time since I've seen milk bottles on a doorstep never mind the frozen milk pushing the tops off. I do remember mum 'tsk-ing' when she discovered little beak holes in the tops though :-D

We've been having milk delivered since the first lockdown -- in plastic containers. :-(

I've got it, been here all morning but it's downhill from here, not a good week forecast.

Our delivery was still bottles...rinse them out and put them out for collection at the next delivery :-D

You know we were talking about Sahara Sand the other day.....well, Andorra have orange/red snow caused by a covering of Sahara sand :-0 :-D

We will Belle and Priya is sunning herself. :-D We haven't told her about the bad weather, don't want to upset her ;-)

Lots of clouds coming in now, some tinged with grey so the change in the weather could be later today :-(

Morning all.

Milkman / lady still delivers here 3 times a week, although we buy extra from supermarket if we need it.

No idea who they are, as they deliver in the early hours of the morning, before 2 a.m sometimes.

Iffy sort of day here.

Another Milkman took over our original Milkman's round and we never did get to see him....he too delivered in the early hours and we'd leave a cheque in a milk bottle for payment :-0 :-D

It was just on the top, Joy....take the top layer away and it was white :-D

OH has just found out he can't juggle.

About to put some eggs on to boil as Priya has 1 every Sunday and OH does like an egg sandwich. One on the floor and one with his thumb through the shell. Priya licked up the egg on the floor.

One missed the saucepan - don't know why, he had the other in his hand when he tried to catch the falling one - now has his chair right back as he's jarred his back :-S
