Good morning Fly. <3 :-D

Brilliant sunshine here - sufficient to melt the coating of snow we had during the night.

What's on the agenda today?

A spin around the block, a visit to the coast ...... ;-)

Zilch, Fly. :-D

I got through a mass of paperwork but still have more - fed up now so will take a break.

I may just do a little more family history research - especially the Welsh rellies and the Isle of Man ones.

Otherwise, I may have a sedentary afternoon and continue to 'work my way' through Foyle's War. :-)

My starting point was Edwards - a common surname in Wales.

Gawd, I wish people had been advised to give children at least a couple of Christian names, and one of them an unusual one.

I am lucky that I was able to pin down a brother and two sisters in Liverpool but with common Christian names it's been difficult.

Good Afternoon Everyone :-D :-D <3 <3

It's been snowing here!
It won't last long though as we are not far from the sea

Pottering about with my tree and processing lots of records at the moment.

Joy, I don't envy you researching Edwards in Wales! :-0
My surname was easier to research especially as my rellies stayed put in the same area. Plus some were relatively "famous" so more well documented.
What part of Wales are your Edwards Family from?

Have a good day Everyone, and Keep Safe <3

Afternoon Belle, Jem, Pat and Emma. <3 :-D

Jem, how are things going? <3

I thought they were from North Wales but I am no longer sure. I had followed a line leading to N Wales only then to discover my particular John was married and not with parents in 1841 - so back to the drawing board.

Mary, John and, possibly, Elizabeth are the siblings names, Mary being my 2 x great grandmother. I am going to have to trawl through the Liverpool births to come up with the same parents for both. John's daughter was the informant of Mary's death so that was easy and Elizabeth is listed as aunt by Mary's husband in one census so I am not sure whether she is aunt to Mary or her children as there is a dirty great mark right over her age and it looks nothing like the transcriber's transcription of age.

Mary and my 2nd gt grandfather were married at St David's the Welsh church in Liverpool.

I am now chasing a lead that her family still lived in Eldon Street, Liverpool (which she gave as her address at marriage) and hoping they were still there in 1841, five years after her marriage. I have found some so the search begins to tie in the three Christian names.

Patience ..... <3
