Sounds like hes wanting attention. How long has the new partner been with his mum? If he is the only child at home now and she has a new partner, then maybe he feels left out.

Sometimes children will do anything to get attention even negative attention...ie being told off.

Any attention is better than none!

I don’t know how long mum has been with her partner but we’ve been here three years and he was there when we moved in. When we were discussing the hedge that separates the property (as we want to take it out and put in a fence) Annie said they’d paid for the removal of the first part of the hedge when Lewis was five and it was his dad there then.

I don’t how many siblings have lived there but the house has two bedrooms upstairs, kitchen, living room and a couple of bathrooms so it would be tight with more than a couple of children in it.

Lewis is at it again despite the fact that it’s -2 with an east wind making it feel several degrees colder than that. Lewis is firing snowballs at our kitchen window and front door. If it wasn’t our kitchen window I’d be impressed as our window is at the back of the property and as it’s a flat it’s on the first floor. We’ve had another word with mum but I think someone needs to go back to school.

We used to have trouble with a group of boys who were constantly ringing our doorbell. Messages to one of the mothers via a colleague of OH.

Eventually we had snowballs being thrown and hitting the house one Christmas Eve. OH was going to ring the police but I went round to another of the mothers and told her I was trying to stop my other half ringing the police.

We had no further trouble from the boys.

Bear in mind that the snowballs could cause damage.

Sounds like the little charmer needs his mother to find him some jobs to do!

Incidentally. I never ever imagined I would be interested in a younger partner, but second OH was 37 and I was 43 when we got together!!

Oh not good snowballs can break windows for sure....throw them back at him.

The worst behaved child in our street when I was growing up is now a C of E vicar :-D :-D :-D

Yet more snowballs again today so this time stepdad has got involved and taken away his mobile phone and games console for the day. Lewis will get them back tomorrow hopefully with an attitude adjustment.

Many years ago one of the sons of the couple across the road developed the habit of running along behind cars as they went down the Close.

Having found that distracting, one time I stood on the brakes when I had reached about 15 mph or so.

After finding that the car could stop faster than he could he gave up the habit.
