Thanks Jan I haven't don't know if Suzanne has thought about that. Personaly I like to see clothes before I buy though.

So do I really, but there isn't too much in the shops for my age-group that isn't too frumpy! And I usually get my jeans from there, can't go wrong, and order a dress or two to try on at the same time. Just a thought.
Worth looking online for ideas in any case, saves the old feet. House of Fraser for an example:

Sorry, yes it probably is Anokhi!
It's a shop on it's own in Winchester, and does sell stuff similar to East.
Bit pricey - but brilliant sales :-D

well i went into river island and saw a lovely peach silky short sleeve top,saw a lovely bag to go with it(i used to call them box bags when i was a teenager)with a little peach bow on it so bought them, and then went to next and got a lovely peach lace jacket and a lovely off white pair of silky dress trousers, also got a very light peach pair of very high heals, going to have one of them stupid things in my hair aswell,so the mother of the bride is in trousers, but very expensive trousers.x :-D

thank you everyone.
tried a stunning long dress on in debanhams,it looked so nice ,on my way to pay for it ,i noticed the price,£300 far to much for my budget after paying for the wedding ha. tried some lovely dresses on,but my legs are not great, had a bad accident 10yrs ago ,one of my legs looks terrible,so unable to wear short dresses or even midi, love the dresses that are long at the back but short at the front, but not for me.x :-D

Sounds swish , I like peachy colours, but they don't suit my colouring.

Glad you are sorted :-) Bet you'll look great.
