Try looking at the online M&S, John Lewis, Debenhams etc. you may get some ideas from there.

Daughter got married in Dec. 2011 and I didn't wear hat (I look really terrible in one and daughter didn't mind). Just wear something you feel comfortable in, ask daughter what her thoughts are regarding head wear.
You may be happily suprised.

What ever you decided will be fine but most of all enjoy the day and best wishes to your daughter and future SiL.

Suzanne, I don't know what your budget is but if it stretches to John Lewis/Debenhams have you considered a personal shopper? They could probably come up with some really good outfits that you may not have considered.

Suzanne, if you are shopping in Chester have you tried "Cheshire Oaks " not far from Chester and have designer outlets but reasonable prices, x

PS, google Cheshire Oaks.

it took me 5 months to find the outfit........

in the end I went with what I totally discarded as never ever would I wear that, :-D
but budget does play a part....

if its too big on hips for your chesters a dressmaker/seamtress can always make alterations but it can take uo to 2 weeks.....

have a look at Kaleidoscope.co.uk online they do clothes that can carry you anywhere made up with the right accessories and can be worn again....plus are good prices.

John Lewis had hardly anything but sales stuff yesterday, sizes 6, 8, 10, 12. None of the most popular sizes.

I posted arlier that I only wear long skirts, especially in summer. I don't think I have even one skirt (winter or summer) that is shorter than about mid-calf.

I used to be 5' 8½", but am now at least 1" shorter .................. and I take a size 20-22 in UK terms.

However .... I am losing weight with this diabetic diet I am on.

My big problem is the lack of boobs since I had the second mastectomy last September :-D :-D :-D

It is soooooooooooooooooooo much more comfortable without a bra, and the falsies get so hot when it is warm outside, that I now rarely wear them.

But I do have to find camouflage (scarves, vests, etc) to hid the sagging material of tops!

Hi Suzanne

I was in no way upset!

It's just been a problem I had not ever expected to have ............... even if I only had one and was lopsided for 16 years, I was still a big busted, big hipped woman!

It's always hard ....... I had looked at most shops and stores in Vancouver before I found the outfit for daughter's wedding ............... then I found it in a little almost boutiquey place.

and ti wasn't that expensive, surprisingly!

I was soooo delighted.

I'm the same size as you, Suzanne - only 2 inches shorter - therefore 'tubby'r!!

I got my outfit from Annoki.
I hate shopping for clothes, happened to go in there one lunchtime, saw something possibly suitable - a matching dress & jacket (ie the same floral fabric for both)
The next weekend, my daughter came up from Sussex, I showed her, and I ended up buying the same outfit, but a floral dress in a different colour and a contrasting plain jacket that looks amazing with jeans!! :-D
