I'm off to the theatre tonight too! The last ever performance at the Library Theatre in Manchester. Bit worried as I'm not very good at the best of times at staying awake in cinemas or theatres, and it doesn't start until 8 p.m. There are 4 of us going so at least I won't have to sit next to a stranger. If I'm between family members they can nudge me if I start snoring!

I had a lovely day yesterday , we went to Rupali indian gorgeous in the centre of newcastle ,Then on to the Arena to watch Cirque du Soleil it was absolutely Brilliant .I was shattered though cos we walked quite a bit .It was very warm but i enjoyed it .
just seen the news about the shootings and wondered why the police were everywhere .

It's OH's bday today, so we are having a web cam chat with eldest late afternoon, then out for an evening meal. Is it just our area, or do restaurants in other places tend to shut Sunday evening? There only seems to be a couple of places open.

Hi to you all. Sitting in my hotel room in a seaside hotel about 40 km from home. Had troubles with the lappy last night so couldn't talk. Been through a day of listening to speakers and "informative" type persons trying to deliver their messages. These interludes have been interspersed with meal breaks with food ranging between mediocre to superb.

I have 24 hrs access to the internet so will be able to manage a couple of conversations.

The renovations have hit a stumbling block..... well cement block actually. The blonde one managed to get cement into the bathroom drain. She tried for hours to unblock it on Saturday night, and I tried for a couple of hours Sunday morning. No luck. So it is now a job for super plumber - if there is such a person. I think they have a gadget that can bore through hard substances. Well I'm hoping something along the lines of a hydraulic atomic electronic drill that cuts through cement like a hot knife through butter. This is one of those situations I am supposed to "look back on in years to come and laugh". Blonde one was threatening to hop on the first plane out of the country after burning the house!! Poor little petunia!!! She will be OK, as she said I've had a good cry about it so I'll be OK now.

Now for the weather forecast. It is freezing cold outside and will be down to 2 degrees tonight. Day time temp is around 15 degrees.

Just read about RMS's parents. Good to hear their injuries were not life threatening.

hi there glad you are comfy Aunty ,hope a good drill is found maybe the lazer that belongs to her maj might work lol it has been a lot cooler today am waiting for a roofer to look at some pointing on the ridge have had two quotes so far and both say different work needs doing so will see what this one says today

Bloomin tired today thanks to a very strenuous Aquacise session but otherwise fine thanks.

I see I've missed all the firemen!! Trust me to get my timing wrong!! I followed a fire engine one night last week! Right behind him till I had to turn off at home! Shame!!

Mind you, I would have been too kn***ered to do anything with them anyway!!
