+++DetEcTive+++ Report 10 Jun 2010 23:50

Nah, LG. No peace and quiet for you. Tomorrow you will be asked to baby sit while they unpack!

Aunty's OH and mate must have been going some to get so much done in a short time. Now, wonder if the recipient of the labour is going to change their mind and stay put?

It's been murky all day, and like Maz, the washing didn't dry. At least it has been mild, which is something. We are supposed to have torrential rain overnight and in the morning. Deep joy.

First time I've logged on today, to find a PM in my inbox. Rather belatedly (as I hadn't looked at the thread) it has been passed on. :-(((((

Though I'd like to share my excitement at finding an email advising me that a Luke Pellington had kindly deposited $7700.00 into my bank account.

Don't you think that is right neighbourly of the "gentleman" to do such a thing, particularly as
(a) I have never heard of him
(b) I don't have an account with his bank
(c) I have no idea of why he would be extending his benevolence to me.

I really would like to share this bounty with you all. I figured if he was prepared to gift me this amount he would probably have enough left to share with you as well.

Unfortunately

I have deleted his email from my inbox and from my deleted items folder. And I actually clean forgot to click on the little link which would send me to all this treasure.

I know damned unkind of me I really should share.

Perhaps next time it will be your turn. Tee hee!!

Good evening Elizabeth I hope you are well.

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 11 Jun 2010 23:26

Good to see you again Elizabeth.

I've won a considerable sum on the Euro Internet Lottery which selected my email address.

Once the organisers have deposited the winnings in my bank account, the details of which I have of, course, supplied, you are all welcome to a share - psml!!!!

So who is the first to book tickets to W Australia? Aunty, you'd better ask daughter if she will let us use her doer-upper as a guest house!!!

RockyMountainShy

AuntySherlock Report 12 Jun 2010 00:46

OK By now you are all in bed. DET is obviously sleeping off an over indulgence in jungle juice.
I have no idea what you are talking about (dratted preposition).

Please explain the references to Western Australia.

I am very curious.

You do realize how far it is away from here, about a cut lunch and a thermos at least.

By the way OH does not believe Australia has a hope in h*ll of beating Germany in their soccer game. And we have little or no interest in the venture. However... however, draped over my dining room table is a green and gold Socceroos "cape" which he brought home from the pub last night. My mind is filled with unasked questions, but woe betide if I find him up at 4.00 am Monday morning in his pyjamas with the cape, watching the soccer. He will receive more than one blast from the laser!!!

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 12 Jun 2010 10:30

I was perfectly sober, but obviously didn't have my geographer's cap on!!!!

There is a 'who hates football' type thread up, but looking at it this morning, it would appear to have been tongue in cheek. As I said on there, I'm sure a lot of the hysteria is media driven, and people who are normally uninterested in the sport feel compelled to follow the herd....a bit like when Princess Diana was killed. Obviously it is the same in other countries as well. I'll have to ask she who lives abroad what the situation is there as that country practises a different set of football/soccer rules and don't have the same heritage. Perhaps AS's OH won his cape in a raffle or something. You'll have to try to work out if the matches are available on iplayer so he can watch while you are at work.

It will be interesting to see if regular FMP subscribers can access the other records! If A is watching the match on the TV, he is a bit selfish hogging the computer as well, Maz. Kick him into touch lol. Hope you learnt something useful at your conference.

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 12 Jun 2010 10:49

Morning/evening all. Hmm free FMP as you say DET wondr if it is all records but I somehow doubt it they won't give too much away for nothing.
