Mo you are a marvel!!

I also had a feeling that William and Rebecca may not have married until after the children were born (tut tut!). Guess we can only speculate on that one, but several people have suggested alternate names for William's wife, (none the same I hasten to add), so I wonder if he was a bit of a lad and had more than one on the go at a time. They certainly knew how to confuse us !

I recognise some of the surnames of witnesses there, which tie in with others whom I thought were the right people. (Hope that makes sense to you - I know what I mean ;o))

I shall print that lot off and sit here with a cuppa and a digestive and see what I can come up with.

Yvonne - thanks for the suggestion of Register house in Edinburgh. Bit of a long way from Surrey, but I will have a scout on line and see if I can order any searches that way.

Kathryn, I know what you mean, I have made contact with many people who seem to have one or two connections which give all the same details, but different parents and siblings. There seem to be so many that some or all of us must have something wrong somewhere. I'm trying to work back a step at a time with certificates to prove things rather than guesswork which leads to all sorts of problems.

A big THANK YOU to all who have contributed in this!
You've all been a great help!
