Unforunately I did not know my aunt Isabella and what you say makes a lot of sense.

I had thought she had been named after her aunt Isabella Martin Stevenson, and then wondered if her that aunt might have given birth pre marriage, the child having then being cared for by her elder sister & husband (my grandparents). There is no birth registration for such a child, but she might have been taken in as a Weston child right after birth?

As said earlier, Isabella M.'s birth was registered Jun Qtr 1908 & Isabella's was Sep Qtr 1908. There are two birth registrations, but as you say, they could be of the same girl. Thus, when both birth certs. arrive, if they demonstrate the same parentage for both girls, I still may not have an answer to my conundrum?

Yet, as you may correctly say, the untimely death of the 14 year old Isabella may have been the passing of 'both' girls. Consequently there would be no certification of marriage or death for two girls. Although I may get evidence of the birth of two girls. Can't wait for the certs, which I will report upon on their arrival.
