:-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) Happy Christmas to Everyone in the Northern Hemisphere.

'Down under' lazing back in the sun
Christmas Day over, presents open, Food eaten, Dishes done.

OH hopped on the back of his Brother's Motorbike at 7am this morning and they drove 3 hours up north, to a place called Wanganui to watch A Motor Bike Street Race that is held there every year on Boxing Day.

My Cousin is competing, He was forced to give up Bike Racing as a Career, decades ago after he was injured Racing in Japan.

But last year he decided he would come out of retirement and get in and race with the' Golden Oldies' ':-D

Thankfully OH while he loves Motor Bikes has never had any desire to race them.

Lovely to see you back Evelyn,

Robert enjoy your Whisky.

Hope everyone didn't eat to much!!!!

Robert if you need any help to finish off the bottle of 40 Yr old single malt - my husband would very happily make the journey "up North" & share your shell if offered.

Very peacefull time we had as well - back at work tomorrow - never mind it was nice to have a few days off.

Josie - Wanganui thats where the Benefield family arrived back in the late 1800's - somewhere my OH badly wants to visit as they were his direct ancestors.

Here's hoping we can win the lotto in 2012 - we badly need a miracle to sort ourselves out.

Josie - I hope you find a job early in 2012 too.

Will try & pop in again tomorrow

Take care all :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

Hello everyone, you all seem cheerful :-D

Hope you had a lovely birthday Robert - it must be difficult having a birthday on Christmas Day. My daughter's is on Friday and that's hard enough.

Lazing in the sun does sound so odd but, it was very mild on Christmas Day here. We sat in my son's conservatory for the lunch and had to draw the blinds and open the windows because it was so warm!! My OH even took his jumper off - something he rarely does :-S

Am trying to get organised for my daughter's birthday now - have a feeling a takeaway is what will happen :-D

Take care all. Back soon. Cx

Hi Everyone

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with your families.

It is very hot here I don't think any of you would like it,I never get into my own pool but this year I did and was very thankful I had one to get into.

Two days of 39c and it catches up with you ,today we have 30c but it is a little humid as there are believe it or not we have a few showers around.

We are not doing anything for New Years this year just to tired to be bothered really.

I am clearing out the fridge today so many left overs in there.

As usual we bought way to much food,Oh well I won't have to food shop this week .

Pop back in tonight.

Those Temps sound absolutely lovely, NOT!!

Am glad our temps here have been 20-23c nice and warm not to hot.
It's a good thing you have a pool Susan,

We had the most amazing weather for Christmas, starting the day before Christmas Eve right through till this Wednesday we had blue skies and sunshine, not a single cloud or raindrop and barley a breeze,

have not experienced weather like this since I was a child, normally it's overcast, raining and very humid here at Christmas.

However yesterday NZ got hit by a massive Rain Front and it is not due to clear till Monday. So now very wet, stuck inside Playing in my Tree [Family not Christmas :-D ]

Wishing you all a Happy New Year catch all in 2012 Josie <3 <3 <3 :-) :-) :-)

This is such an exhausting week..............Christmas, daughter's birthday, daughter in law's birthday and New Year. I would quite happily hibernate until it is all over....... :-)

The family have just gone home after celebrating her birthday and I am shattered.

Will speak soon. Love. Cx.

Hi Everyone

Sylvia happy to hear you had a wonderful Christmas.

I was very good too with the food and drink but tonight we have a New Years Eve party to go to next door so I do not have very far to go home and seeing as I have been very good to myself I think I may have a few drinks tonight.

It is a long Holiday over Christmas and I am always very glad it is over nearly !

It has cooled down a bit today around the 30c mark and it is a bit humid,Oh is back to work Monday.

Robert I hope you did not drink that 40yr old Scotch all by yourself, anyway Happy belated birthday.

We start taking all the lights down tomorrow and all the decorations inside ,I will be able to get all the furnisher back in its correct places then.

I am off outside in my garden now, just a few weeds to come out .

Wishhing alll my friends a

Old Report 1 Jan 2012 12:40

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE

Have been suffering from a truly awful cold for the last 3 days - stayed up last night for the fireworks on the Thames - love fireworks and magic, so really a child at heart.

My resolutions for this year include making a note of any info I consider relevant to my tree. This is an obvious thing to do, but I haven't always done this in the past and I am regretting it now.

I have noted that my 5 x Gt Grandfather's first wife Ann Crow was buried in St Gregory, Sudbury, Suffolk on October 17 1772. I have NOT noted from where I obtained this info.

Having trawled Family Search and other options I cannot find the source.
If anyone could assist it would cheer me up and reinforce my resolution for 2012.

Cheers

Arthur

hmmmmmmmm, Old

That's a problem! I've done a quick look and can't see anything!

We had a very quiet evening. OH cooked a chicken, while I made the sage and onion stuffing, and he also made casseroled sweet potatoes, and an asparagus/ broccoli mix. We ate about 7 pm, then did our own thing until it was time to watch the tv.

problem was ............. there didn't seem to be anything televised from Vancouver

We could watch Times Square, New York (3 hours earlier than us) ....... but then we found one of the local stations in Seattle, just south of us, had a major show on. Lots of fireworks, entertainment, etc.

We then slept in until 10:15 am this morning, which would be about 6:15 pm your time

We never sleep that late!!

I admit that I didn't go to bed until about 2:45 am (got involved in a tricky genealogical question on GR), but we had not drunk a lot. I had nothing 'cos alcohol doesn't like me, and OH had 2 glasses of wine.

He went to bed about 12:45 am

It is quite a pleasant day here ......... sunny and cloudy, but chilly.
